He had a child to carry on his will after his and all of his siblings' deaths. I don't think it's going to work out that way, though. I think his GSB is going to use his baby somehow to keep him alive beyond the poison. It's fitting for him to have an ability like that and his own Nen ability is a reference to Benjamin Button, the story of a man who ages backwards, ending the story as a baby. In the eyes of the succession ritual, he can't let his baby take over for him after he dies, since his baby is not a player (unlike how Fugetsu is for Kacho's GSB to work) so it must work the other way: his soul will swap with his baby. Considering Togashi has paralleled him with Halkenburg, who has a soul swapping ability that reflects his political beliefs, it'd make sense for Benjamin's to do the same (or, rather, the opposite).
