In a normal situation the warrior would have no option but to dodge, but if he has an anti-magic crystal he can just throw the crystal at the mage, then he won't be able to cast the spell and the warrior can close the distance to kill him. If I was a warrior in this world I'd walk around with a ton of those crystals in my pocket.
