I feel like not quite just because his worst moment is the... choice Tagashi gave in having Kuwabara lose to the same technique, the first being Shishiwakamaru from using the Cape of No Return which at least there don't blame Kuwabara for losing that one, but then with Suzuki the creator of the thing Kuwabara just running straight into a slow moving black energy ball really did as Hiei put it "a first class fool" he got done dirty.

The first few episodes where Yusuke is dead and a spirit have such a calm melanocholic vibe. It feels more like an anime about him coming to accept that he's died and moving on.
Then he's just back and it's 100% a shonen. Kinda kino

I think it actually kind of drags after the 3 artifacts and before the dark tournament. The demon tower and mansion in the woods are kind of nothing burgers. Besides the couple of characters they introduce.

Dude Kuwabara got shafted in this series worse than any other shounen character I can think of. He only truly wins 1 fight the entire tournament, gets one single fight in Chapter Black then spends the rest of the arc as a hostage, then gets completely left out for the final arc. He should have died from Toguro, then came back in spirit form to give Yusuke a pep talk during his fight with Sensui, then the series should've ended!

Whenever he goes to get the artifacts back, I forgor the number. But honestly if you are 10 episodes in and not feeling it it's probably not for you.
The best episodes are like the first 5 or 6, and the dark tournament which is 40 episodes later.

It did feel like they diminished Toguro's threat, but when we find out how quickly people can jump classes, it lets you know Toguro was still "a demon of the highest class" as he put it. Because of the barrier, the Black Black Club couldn't make him that strong even if they wanted to, but they did give him possibly the best body considering Toguro could exponentially increase his power, regenerate, and siphon or shoot out energy if he wanted. If he had the will to keep fighting, he could've reached upper S class as an immortal and learn to break or destroy parts of reality. At least, that seems to be what defines the strongest skills in the series.
