Why is Raphael's reasoning from not telling Rimuru about Yuuki's bullshittery being translated so inconsistently between different adaptations? Like, the LN translation, the manga simulpub translation (same shitty translator as LN) and the anime (CR?) subs all seem to make the reasoning seem different. In the LN TL it sounds like Rimuru just suddenly feels completely afraid of killing people even after previously having slaughtered 20k people already and this is treated as a fact. The manga and anime are different in the sense that there is the implication that Raphael was actually wrong about the assessment and Rimuru was merely reluctant about but would have eventually finished the job, but regardless Raphael decided to take things into her own (imaginary) hands. This is where the manga TL and anime TL differ. In the anime TL Raphael judges that Rimuru would leave an emotional vulnerability due to fighting Mariabell which would leave an opening for Yuuki to get a dangerous attack on Rimuru. But in the manga TL Raphael instead uses Rimuru's reluctance to kill and his trust in Yuuki to fool Yuuki into believing that he successfully managed to fool Rimuru. Personally I get the impression that the manga happens to be the most accurate in this case.Regardless. This arc was one of my least favorite arcs in the story (except for the Council Meeting and Chaos Dragon parts) and I think Fuse might have been drunk while writing some parts of it because there were outright errors in the LN (in the raws) such as Engrassia and Blumund being mixed up regarding the first Magitrain route, and also this part about Rimuru being reluctant to kill seeming like a character regression that came out of fucking nowhere (although there are valid reasons deeper into the Rimuru iceberg, to be fair). At least both manga/anime removed the shitty "MUH fellow countryman" line about Yuuki.

It's because they are both schizos with completely different personalities when their "switch" is flipped. Milim with her Milim eyes recognized that commonality instantly, which is why she ended up humoring Rimuru on how he treats her. It takes one to know one. This is also why Rimuru suddenly hesitates about killing again after he slaughtered 20k and even joked to Blumund Guildmaster Fuze about it. Gaiye and Mariabell were just so weak that he kept being in his base-form "casual persona" for the entire fight. Ironically even the council meeting was more of "challenge" and ended up triggering his switch, while Mariabell and even Yuuki didn't.
