I finished watching this for the first time earlier this week, and being my first exposure to the Devilman series, I really liked it! It felt like they were making it up as they went along, but I still enjoyed it. I wanted to talk about it here, because I barely see anyone talk about it online.

>>288823485I think it's because the manga is really very pornographic. In almost every chapters there is sex scenes, which often involve monsters or rape, and common nudity. The anime ended before the manga but already take a different route in the story.Uncle Go did the thing gradually, that's why you notices he has abandonned some early concepts. The manga did very well the esoteric part and the hell parts are totally kino, very metal. The best about it outside of the fanservice is everything showing you that it's a sequel of Devilman and seeing some characters of the original again.
