I think I figured out one of the main things that makes fights in omega so ass compared to ashuraAshura:>each character is mostly unique with X style and abilities A B and C, so each fight feels fresh and interesting>between rounds the characters usually change or modify something so that things don't get stale, but you're still mostly seeing how unique style X does against unique style YOmega:>every character has become homogenized>now its just "X character from ashura except now he also has [insert formerly unique ability like niko style/formless/kure techniques/etc] or generic ability given to everyone [initiative and its five billion variants or HE GOT THE TIMING RIGHT etc]If someone made a full list of techniques/styles used in omega as the series progressed I guarantee you it'd be an ever increasing list of the exact same technique now used by a different character.
