>>288851217Nah, not really.There's a stark change in writing and general direction after the Tokyo arc, Road and Tiki in particular became very different characters after that though I guess it makes sense in Tiki's case at least since he jobbed so hard, the manga just slowly turned into a total trainwreck after that arc and became unsalvageable fujo nonsense after Cross "died".No idea how Hoshino managed to devolve into a worse version of Kaori Yuki, D. Gray Man makes shit like Angel Sanctuary look like the peak of literature, the first three to five volumes of D. Gray Man were really good at least.

>>288852522Nobody's living in any alternate reality man, there's a reason the manga has been memory holed and it's not because Hoshino's wrists are kill, she just went off some wild BL flashback tangents while trashing most of the severely bloated cast in the process.Nobody knows what the fuck is going on anymore, most of the cast has been MIA for literal years, early fan favorites like Crowley being one of the most damning cases, the entire Noah plotline just shat the bed with parallel universe and schizo nonsense about Nea and Mana, there's also way too many fucking Noahs and somehow all of them outside of arguably Tiki are underutilized so far, the order isn't much better with only Cross and arguably Tiedoll being the only generals that are actual characters and not cardboard cutouts.Hell it's a miracle Hoshino finally remembered that Lavi exists, but at this rate she's going to turn into another Miura given how much suffering porn nonsense she's pushing without actually moving the plot forward.And to be perfecly clear I do not say this with malice, I have genuinely no idea what compelled her to completely change the premise and style of the manga after the Tokyo arc so I can only hope she's actually satisfied with what she's doing right now because she did say she was struggling with depression after her injuries and health problems, I can only wish her the best and for what's worth I still love her art even if I'm not too hot on her current style.
