I don't think that's how mirrors work. Also makeup Lilly and Lulu sexo.

"Oh fuck, I fell in love with my sister"

>>288852511
Are they really gonna blueball us like that?
>>
I'm guessing the little girl superfan is being set up as a rival magical idol.
>>288852126
The cart was deliberately cringe and they even comment on it but the 3D was so bad. How can it fucking lag? The first Lilly performance wasn't bad, what happened?
>>
>>288853334
I know it was on purpose but I still couldn't stop cringing. Yeah the lag was crazy, along with the parkinsons cameraman.
>>
>year of the lord 2026

>has the save lipstick that she gave a matching one to Rui
>>288853334
>>288852126
Yeah, they did a great job with Lilly's initial performance in episode 2 but everything else has been pretty choppy. I think Japan just for some reason thinks the choppiness makes it look more like 2D when Lilly's first performance looked much more like 2D than anything that came after it. And the audience especially here looked really bad. Shame. They even took the time to do the initial single performance (even if they were cut short) in 2D and they looked great.
>>
>>288853673
It would randomly turn smooth and then start lagging again shortly afterwards too.
>>
>>288854044
>>
It's going to be a fakeout.
Some sort of shenanigans where Fuu summons a Lilly clone and Rui is like "wow both Fuu and Lilly are here at the same time, I guess they're different people and everything else was just a coincidence."
>>
>>288854105
I think that's them trying to do the same kinds of frame pacing they do with 2D but it just looks like garbage with 3D. Japan treats 3D as 2D and so rarely manages to take advantage of its strengths.
>>
>>288854209
Their outfits were so hot
>>
>>288854711
Lilly lost hers during the performance. Silly girl.
>>
>>288854105
>>288854341
I would need to rewatch it to make sure but I'm pretty sure the footage gets choppiest when the crowd is in frame which suggest to me that it's legitimately struggling to render too many models and they made this on a potato.
>>
>>288854988
That would simply increase the render time. It being choppy means they messed with the settings.
>>
>>288852036
Weren't they 13 episodes?
>>
>>288854988
The speeding up and slowing down is a common thing in 3D anime. You could see it in Houseki no Kuni too for instance. Which is why I think it's on purpose and not any sort of limitation they're working within. But it's always funny to see prerendered animation look worse than what you can see in real time 3D rendering like in video games. Imagine going back to 1995 and telling people that video games would eclipse at least some prerendered 3D in the future. Obviously they're not touching stuff like Pixar still.
>>
>>288855127
Depends on how they're actually recording the footage. Didn't they make a whole deal out of using digital cameras?
>>
>>288855176
>The speeding up and slowing down is a common thing in 3D anime.
It's just an outright minus though and from what I can tell there's no reason it should be occurring nowadays. Multiple currently airing anime including Aipuri And Precure don't have this problem and they are all the better for it. I don't understand why it's so hard for some anime to just not have this issue.

>>
>>288856047
Yes I know how retarded that sounds, and maybe my quick mtl was wrong about it.
It should be possible to use the same VR cameramen technique to record camera path and do a proper final render afterwards.
But the way it struggles with number of entities on the screen suggests real time.
Or artificial compute cost limt, which makes even less sense:
>we need to render these 30 seconds next
>full quality would require 1 hour of compute at 1000W
>but our budgt for the scene is only 500WH
>so lets throw away half the frames
>>
>>288852961
There's a short shot near the beginning here of Lilly and Lulu appearing on a street and then looking back at each other. I wonder if that's gonna be in the second cour or if it's just something made for this music video. Everything else is from the show though.

>>
>>288854272
Maybe Rui "realises" that the twintailed fan is Lilly, not Fuu?
>>
>>288866608
Probably because they wouldn't be able to do the amount of dynamism they wanted and just that CGI is apparently a standard for idol performances these days. Maybe animating to that quality is too much of a workload too. It's difficult to tell if CGI is being used out of necessity or just because they think it will look better or is "standard". You sometimes get anime where some things are CG at one time but 2D at other times, so they obviously can do it 2D but just choose not to. And I'm not that deep into their budget or schedule to know if it's part of the reason.

The actual models and textures and character animation are all good but the camera shake, stuttering, and low frames are all objectively bad, and all supposedly the result of the very dumb real time rendering and digital camera. The scene would be perfectly good if they let it render properly and (when possible) on 1s. The 3D in Lilly's concert had none of these problems but the footage here is literally lagging when the crowd is in frame. It's bad in a very unique way, as opposed to the "looks like shit and is barely animated" bad of something like Godzilla Earth.

The older Pierrot shows had all kinds of shit going on every single episode. So much shit was happening that it makes ZZZuttoZZZilly look really, really terrible in comparison.
Take your average episode of Persia for example. There's pantyshots, there's humor, there's interesting scenarios, there's slapstick. It's the complete package. How long can Riki go without getting absolutely decked by Sayo for doing something retarded? What weird situation will Persia wind up in and have to sort out? It's a shame that LuluzzztoLillyzzz can't even get the basics down compared to a show that came out 40 years ago. Old Pierrot magical girl shows didn't even have to try to be interesting. Lulu&Lilly feels like it's trying so hard yet doing absolutely fuck all.

Nice desire for actual conversation here. Though the fact that the first thing you mentioned in your previous was pantyshots just shows you have your head so far up your ass (to lick your own prostate) its pointless to talk to you.

The series so far hasn't really been what I was expecting, but I'm willing to see where it goes because it's more interesting than watching the latest Precure (or other combat driven magical girl anime) or softcore porn with a magical girl aesthetic (like MahoAka).

>>288880271
Character obsession only became a thing because mods stopped deleting easily recognizable shitposting personas that keep derailing threads. The only other recourse anons have is to warn each other about the poopdickschizo. Problem is, the current policy is to leave ragebait up but to ban anyone who calls it out for being bait. The result is that shitposters get useful feedback on how to derail threads more effectively, and anons who came here to discuss the topic get fed up and leave.

That's why /a/ now hovers around 20K posts per day instead 40K, and why more of the remaining posts are ragebait than ever before. That's probably intentional. Newfags take bait more easily, which generates more activity, which makes the site look more attractive to advertisers. They also click on ads more often. Once newfags figure that out, they leave, which means they won't be around to warn the next wave of newfags about the trick. The ones who figure it out but stick around anyway are only in it for the drama, so they become the next generation of shitposters.

And that's why 4chan is dying. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

>>288879993
The cats can obviously see each other, just like all the other aliens, but they're obliged to keep the secret. I can't be bothered to check, but I think they only talk when they're alone with the sister that chose them.
The bigger question is what will happen now that Rui has clearly figured it out. The ayylium said things would go boom if anyone found out, but the cats have no sense of urgency.
Pierrot, you set a time limit. You suggested consequences. You showed a secret society of aliens bound by a masquerade. You showed lax enforcers. You showed them bond with the two girls most likely to break the masquerade.
Make something go boom. Shake, shake the room. Make them fix what they broke to earn their coming-of-age arc.

Another effect is that those who feel troubled by the schizos, call them out, and increasingly end up banned eventually turn into schizos themselves. Or they start seeing them as major form of entertainment and even post bait to "summon" them. It's how some threads drown in schizo nonsense.
