Why would they? They're not a part of Gotei, they guard the SOul King, they have no obligation to scoot around the Seireitei in search of people with broken Bankai. On top of that, Ikkaku being a retard, never told anyone about his Bankai, so even if captains knew, and being sent to Royal Palace if your Bankai is broken is a common practice, nobody would do anything, because the would be overstepping.

Despite fixing Bankais not being Zero Squad's obligation, they probably do it upon request. Unfortunately, Ikkaku never reported to his direct superior that he attained Bankai and lacks authority to make such a request himself. The only person who he apparently said about it directly was Mayuri, and he did so seemingly out of great desperation and in confidence. But Mayuri is not his direct superior, and he doesn't really care about other squads. Other captains may suspect or even know for sure, but spoken and unspoken rules of hierarchy, Gotei internal regularions and warrior's pride won't allow them to step out of bounds. Nobody would fix Ikkaku's Bankai until he comes clean to Kenpachi.

In retrospect Kenpachi has an underrated conscientiousness and self control for playing coolly distant coworkers with Unohana in the gotei 13 for a century. I bet they somewhat enjoyed that secret between them.
Also Unohana and Yachiru both being in the shinigami women's association in the anime feels pretty unhinged.

Ikkaku is irrelevant to the emotional state of Ichigo. They had to fix Ichigo's Bankai, because they can't let a filthy quincy be their biggest asset against the son of the SK, who is also a quincy. The RG had to coo Ichigo, to make him thrust them, so the RG decided to bring along Renji, Rukia and Byakuya. If his close friends were unharmed, then he would feel more at ease at the RR.

The truth is, they were in fact hostages.

Komamura has a clear downside, sure it can regen just like the body, but it also transfers all damage to the body so there's a limit of how much damage it can block

Mayuri sure, it's full of hacks, none knows if he didn't hacks so he can somehow repair or copy squad 0 repair tech on it. It's also possible that his bankai is already broken from all those experiments and he jsut benefits from it being that way by constantly modyfing it. It's like you break the case to modyfi hardware inside. Hardware still works, can get modified, but case is broken, cannot be repaired or restored. It's also possible that He doesn't care about his bankai original restored power since it doesn't fit him. Like, he doesn't even use spiritual pressure in his fights
