Keions just show up randomly as part of their shenanigans but they're in the background really and it's really just to put episodes of the new show into the timeline. Like the characters in the new show attend their concerts and stuff or hear them practicing upstairs or see them cause a distraction in class, but the show doesn't show the concerts all over again, the story focuses on the ensemble and how their own lives intersect with the events of K-On. They might talk about the keions from time to time, but they're rarely directly interacted with.Occasionally there will be a big episode where, like, everyone's working on Romeo and Juliet and so the keions are obviously a big part, but t he stories themselves will still focus on all the other girls as they're going through their own friendships.
