Code Geass has the same problem as Eureka Seven. The original show is great, R1 was a lot better than R2 but both are still good but unfortunately the ip projects that came out after the original shows rather suck. In Code Geass case I would say at least Akito is somewhat good. The creators of Code Geass also don't seem to hate the original show unlike the creator of E7 whp seems to want to ruin it because they didn't let him make the ending he wanted.

People complain about Suzaku's ideas and plan but I find his plan to be rather realistic and many indenpendence fighters did what Suzaku has done. Infiltrating the empire to gain power to achieve your independence. He also was close to achieving his plan with befriending (and even becoming her lover) Euphemia and then becoming a knight of the round. I think his plan was more realistic than the plan of the black knights.
