Despite being frequently bombastic, this scene, which is fairly understated and sweet, ended up being one of my favorite moments in the series. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this, btw. I could go for another season, but if it never gets one, this works perfectly as a standalone story.

This show was great. It did everything well. I never got too emotionally invested in it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not everything has to be overly dramatic or bittersweet. It peaked with Sakuradaimon's confession, and with the flashback to his childhood friend (which was the same episode iirc). Not my AOTS but definitely one of the best this season, and I can see why it would be someone else's.
