There was already an FF7 anime and it was ludicrously forgettable. All I remember from it is they turned the scene where Cloud beat Sephiroth in the Mt. Nibel reactor into a big DBZ fight scene, because it pissed me off that they missed what made that scene so memorable in the first place.
