Then she became a hag in S2 and everything got worse. Still one of my favourite Gundam series.

Gundam 00 is great because of space elevators. A scifi anime with space elevators can't be bad.Also, the Earth with its orbital rings looks fantastic.
The cinematography in this anime is also great. I really love how Mizushima directed Gundam 00 and especially the shot of the Double 0s forming in space is magical.

All the interesting plotbeats they could've followed up on from S1 were done half-assedly and either completely botched the payoff or actively made the show worse.
