I feel like a bit of an asshole but I was enjoying the schadenfreude and wished it went on a bit longer.I doubt this is going to happen again now that Rebecca's powers awakened huh? Or am I wrong?
I can guess why she's crying. Her poor back.

>>288905281It's the most brutal Mashima plot for a while, keep going, it's also Mashima's best work for some volumes you have yet to read.
>>288905281It gets better.
>>288905281she jsut getting fucked in the shower in this image? or what?
>>288906657>>288907210It's cool that it's got an ending so I will actually read the manga if I have to. But do you think there will be more anime? I almost always prefer anime over manga.
>>288905724>what if Lucy was Lucy
>>288909511Not unless Netflix pays for more.
>>288909701Damn. I don't like being beholden to Netflix.
Maybe when JC staff has an open schedule again...
>>288906657>MashimaWhat are his other works like? I've never been interested in Fairy Tale and if this is the most "brutal" I'm not sure if I'd be too interested in the others either. I was only mildly enjoying EZ as I've been watching it, but these suffering episodes kicked it up a notch for me. I guess it's taught me something about myself.
>>288911180Fairy Tail obviously is his most well-known and longest running series, but his other big series is Rave which has quite a lot of suffering (especially near the middle) with one of the most iconic death/suffering arcs from around its era of manga. In general Mashima tells stories with quite a lot of emotional and.or physical turmoil but the arcs and stories all end on a happy note. There are many arcs in FT where various characters get shit on for the entirety of it, but usually nobody dies or gets permanently injured and most of the bad guys become good guys eventually. It's actually funny to me that FT was shit on for years as being generic/"A One Piece ripoff" but because of its consistency and the general decline in quality of battle manga over the past 15 year so or so its reputation is a lot better, it certainly aged better than things like Nanatsu, Heroaca and probably even JJK long-term.
>>288905724>what if Lucy was the girlfriend of your dads wives bvll
>>288911237>In general Mashima tells stories with quite a lot of emotional and.or physical turmoil but the arcs and stories all end on a happy note.>There are many arcs in FT where various characters get shit on for the entirety of it, but usually nobody dies or gets permanently injured and most of the bad guys become good guys eventually. This sounds right up my alley actually. Like I had a feeling that Shiki wasn't going to die 5 episodes into season 2 and Rebecca's powers were going to revert things, I don't think it was very subtle about that implication. And I don't mind that it did because I like happy endings...I just wouldn't have minded a full episode of post-shiki suffering before it happened. Maybe I'll tackle the FT anime while I wait for the possibility of an EZ continuation.
>>288911441The Edens Zero manga ended a while ago, I actually didn't even know it had an anime but I wouldn't hold my breath at a new season or full adaptation.I didn't really like FT's anime because it adapted the magic poorly, which made the fights look kinda lame (to me) but I know it adapted most, if not all, of the manga so you'll have a lot to go through if you want to avoid the manga.Rave's anime also adapts a good portion of the manga but it is not a full adaptation, it's like 1/3 of the overall story. I don't even remember if the anime was any good since it's probably be near 20 years since I watched it.
>>288911630>Ongoing manga constantly gets anime that adapts and exhausts the source material but the manga often never gets completed>Completed manga constantly get incomplete anime adaptationsWhy is it always fucking like this? My issue is I'm here for anime because 2D animation has always been my favorite way to watch things. Beyond the animation, the music and the voice acting are obviously a bonus. Manga just doesn't do it for me. There's only ever been one manga series I've followed in favor of waiting for the anime but so far they seem committed to adapting it all to anime should it ever actually get finished.

>>288907210Very cute Hermit.
>>288912293Most anime are just mad to advertise the source material, that's just how it is. It's pretty rare for something over 20 volumes to get a full adaptation ever.Even a lot of popular LN adaptations will probably never be full adaptations, like Tanya or Bookworm.
The manga has a lot more suffering and a cool timeskip arc. I like Eden Zero well enough. Some of the twists are really crazy.
>>288913442Well you guys are selling me on the manga. I'll read it after I finish season 2 and consider the anime a bonus.

>>288905281Same
>>288914676I'd say the war with Ziggy great too, even if not quite as good as the previous. The issue is that the story just completely fell apart in the last act. I don't know if the manga got axed and Mashima was forced to fumble his way into an ending or if everything up to that point was just a fluke but the decline that came with the Universe 0 arc needs to be studied
