Catching up after having not read in a while, the men in black are extremely empathic, but also seem to be perfectly fine with forceful exorcisms. I get the feeling that being forced on isn't that bad and bad things tend to be the course the longer a spirit lingers. Rather what Seto is doing seems to be the exact same thing Hana does. Prolonged life energy contact that causes moving on.I really wonder who the men in black were in life and how much they know about everything afterlife related themselves. Also, I wonder if the author will ever attempt a foreigner arc of some sort. Foreign ghosts or a foreign ghost specialist. Though maybe the manga might end soon, tying up Miko's family hauntings and the reaper feels very conclusive and I'm not sure where the author would go from there.

As a whole, spirits seem like an ecology rather than a purely spiritual system. However, then there are clear exceptions with ghosts that seem fully encompassing of their previous selves which then pass peacefully if helped.
