>>288907455Fucking hell with this...
>>288907455
>>288907475
>>288907475Vast was the sight of what was coming because of how disgustingly corny and predictable it was.
Why does this manga already have an annoying schizo?
>>288907484
>>288907538
>>288907550
>>288907557
>>288907527Nothing is more annoying than cheesy tropes, I guess, you know how this is going to end and many are already fed up with it, is already terrible when you have good art but faggy cliches

>>288907670
>>288907527>>288907570Wow, when you realize it, this kind of mangas feels too "safe", which is why it repeats these things over and over.Predictability is pretty bad for writing; if the audience already knows what's coming, it loses interest, and no, good art doesn't covers this.Ragna Crimson actually does this well. They did risk by using the element of surprise and breaking the cheesy cliche.
>>288907676
>>288907683Maybe if your goal is an anime..
>>288907698
>>288907706
>>288907699Not the anime, the manga also does this. For example the Victory against the Explosion Dragon.the moment is super cheesy, everyone won the battle, they're celebrating, rejoicing, they're very happy and it seems like everything will be alright... but then...
>>288907720
>>288907732
>>288907746
>>288907729Out of nowhere, the thunder god Dragon appears, cleanly severs the Silver Lady's head, and the impact literally disintegrates one of the twins. The whole cheesy atmosphere shatters into tragedy in seconds; this element of surprise is what I'm talking about.
>>288907752
>schizo is now talking to himselfsigh, he's gonna shit up every thread isn't he
>Only responding to the anon.
>>288907774End of chapter.
>>288907804>now talking to himselfYou Faggy retard.
The first volume of Dark Elf had a very strong debut.
>>288907305Whoever shot that stone arrow into the upper atmosphere (presumably) is a fucking beast.
>>288907880Sigh, is the same as Wistoria, Good art doesn't cover an annoying, predictable story but it's catchy.
>>288907903I assume they can fly. But now we know some powerful mage is behind this.
this manga does feel very derivative. i'm still waiting for the hook other than the good art and stitches guy. i also think the MC and her protege have boring personalities and all the dialogue is uninteresting/stilted. even "slow-life" isekais feel more adventurous. also>ctrl + f predictable>4 results found
>schizo is still samefaggingI'll come back later
>>288907842Final interview? Glad to see Chancellor has a friendly sense of humor as well. Thanks for posting.
>Actually think anons giving actual criticism is samefaggingLmao
>>288908015Yes, the element of surprise is something this type of manga desperately needs.Beautiful art should be complemented by a good story, not this story detract from it.
>>288907538I think I've said it before but the whole "I can't use magic anymore" tragedy rings a bit hollow when she also happens to be supernaturally strong and durableLike, the idea is that magic separated her from the natural world and her removal of it made her appreciate it is a good story hook but then she's still essentially above nature by essentially being an apex predator
>>288908118good art is good artthe story, while generic, isn't awful. i can think of several other manga that i enjoy with similar premises of>long-lived elf/species feels melancholy>also because they live forever they're the best at X thingsat least it has a small twist of them not being able to be the best at x but as >>288908263 says it's pretty meaningless.
>>288908291My issue is these annoying tropes:>>288907455Like come on!Is Actually good when they actually risk and give the opposite to this.>>288907753
>>288908313it's chapter 7, they're establishing scope.
>schizo is still going
>>288908383Not my reply, faggot.
>>288908333>they're establishing scopeIt doesn't look hopeful.
>>288907753but later on you find out that did not kill her
>>288908660But.Is a Bittersweet thing, there's no a "happy" ending here, especially aftermath.
>>288907753Ah yes, let's brutally murder some of our characters we barely know yet and have little attachment to in chapter... 7. That's bound to be thrilling
>>288907111>>288907118Where do I find part 1? The last chapter I can see online was just amira walking up to the bird

>>288907118>>288907147This grandma is too cool for her age.
>>288909183I thought I missed a fight, thank you. This chapter was pretty underwhelming. I thought the bird was gonna be pregnant and they need to help the dying species repopulate a little. Still cheesy but infinitely better than just pulling the nail from the lions paw and undoing all the consequences imo.
>>288907305>The old "lion with a thorn" parableClassic>>288907376How far lodged is that thing for her to use all that strength? It's insane.
>>288907600I remember this page from the author's twitter. It's beautiful to see it finished.
>>288907706>Heal slutShe keeps on getting better.
>>288907842Thanks amigo.>>288907880Reminder that the reprinted copies are coming out this week! And they have already started limiting copies to one per customer. The future is looking bright for the manga. I'm glad Itabashi is getting the success he deserves.
>>288908383I like how you never specified the post but he still replied with a screencap that may as well have been an admission of guilt
>>288907753>ragna crimsonLegit embarassing>>288909392>>288907880They printed way too few copies for the first batch. Maybe they're just frugal instead of not believing in it though.
Sexo dragon slut.
>>288907466>>288907753Don't post images in the middle of a dump you retarded faggot
>>288908263Actually apex predator is a dumb comparisonIt's essentially the fantasy version of those stories you see every now and then where some fortune 500 CEO or what have you through circumstances has it all taken away from him and has to live a rural blue collar / survivalist life. It being a fantasy world it would be difficult to write the MC as essentially human since there's legitimate monsters and shit (though that Karate survivor in another world does a good job of that but that's a different kind of story entirely)So it's not 'bad', it's just different
>>288909804I'm not familiar with Monthly Young Magazine's sales average but I don't think that's the case. They're not a struggling mag and won't cheapskate on a new series, and one that was a winner of a contest at that.Getting a reprint is good news. Not only does it mean that all of the stock was sold but there is enough demand to justify printing more. By the third volume we should know how the trend goes but for now I'm optimistic>>288909811Cute miser.
And speaking of contest winners. Some updates on the other serializations.Yuuyami to Kataware/To Dusk and Twilight by Robico has ended with 5 chapters. Don't know if this means that the other 3 losers are going to be short serials or not.Protocol Ryugu has started with its serialization. It's the first one of the batch to deviate from its oneshot in its first chapter. The Knight of Blasphemy is going to start on July 16. The second of the winner titles to actually start. Now the fanart I could find.
I love this guy's dolls. Very underrated fan.
Is this tomgirl kino?
An interesting thing I caught on while looking for fanart is that Dark Elf is often advertised with Dragon no I de Oyasumi. It makes sense given that they are from the same publisher and the focus is similar. I wouldn't be surprised if some sellers make a bundle or if one is already being sold. Pic related is someone posting about how he found an advert of Dark Elf in the first volume of Dragon stomach he bought.I'm reading it as well. Reccomending it because it's a good series. Hope a collab happens with the two in the future.
Looks like we're getting the reveal of the antagonist soon.
>>288910884
I read the first few chapters. This is kinda boring.
>>288907145Yeah. I was expecting more slife of life but we're getting more and more battle shounen shit. Pretty disappointing
Man he's still going huh

>>288912220Is the other way around.

>>288909001The Bird being killed and she not being able to save it could be breaking the cliche.
