Between how sudden the villain retardation set in, the ridiculous design of his powered up form, and the fact that only like three guards in the city react to a fucking Attack on Titan tier event, I honestly couldn't stop laughing.

She has to be extremely circumspect in her actions to avoid triggering it, which unfortunately she eventually does. Kinda. Arthur's life as an adventurer is greatly skimmed over, the only real mission we see him in is the last one against the Elder Wood.
All the early Tessia scenes are filler as well, she only reappears in the academy.
The villain from this episode was also an OC so all his scenes were filler as well.

I watched this entire series for the elf. There was not enough of her.

Nobody has a bond/will like Arthur. Dragons are basically gods (they used to be like elves but evolved). But Arthur is nowhere near max power. He could easily be killed by a lance (who are all white core). There are also powerful Alacryans (retainers, scythes, wraiths, all more powerful than lances). And of course, all asuras (dragons are asuras), even the most peace-loving civilian among them are superior to lances (they are specifically limited to be weaker than ANY asura).

Nah he gets torn down completely and has to rebuild from scratch. Alacrya wins the war, crucifies the Glayders and Eraliths. Tess tries to retrieve her parents' bodies and gets cornered. Arthur loses his mana core completely trying to save her and Sylvie dies saving him (though she gets reborn for her sacrifice). This is when the story actually gets good.

This is an abnormal amount though. Their whole country/forest gets nuked by the asuras trying to kill the enemy that invaded. They basically spend the last half of the series as homeless refugees. And just when they start going back to replant the blasted wasteland, meteoric chunks of Epheotus start raining down ruining everything one last time.
