Okay, I'd admit the trailer is exceptionally good. How is the manga? Is it any good? The plot kind of reminds me of Homunculus.

In a sunless, dying world where oxygen is critically low, humanity survives through "transfloration", turning living people into oxygen-producing trees over two years. The story follows Toshiro Kamiya, a desperate young man who volunteers for the process to support his sick mother. After being scammed out of his payout, his body begins transforming. He soon discovers he can hear the voices of those already turned into plants, pulling him into dark conspiracies and moral horrors surrounding the system.A bleak, atmospheric seinen manga mixing body horror, psychological drama, and social commentary.

I hope Shaft doesn't make it too moe

It's non-generic at least.
