Why does Karupika need emperor time to use Judgement Chain (the one that wraps around their heart) but Hinrigh can turn stuff into animals just fine?Karupika specifically says his emission and manipulation aren't strong enough for the range and control involved.But Hinrigh can leave his conjurations alone and control them with great precision, and they can be larger, stronger, and more complex than a basic chain that just moves to pierce someone's heart. Both characters are conjurerers.Only explanation I can think of is that Hinrigh's animals are temporary. They get infused with aura, and when time runs out they expire. Meanwhile, Karupika's chain is permanent, so perhaps there's some massive up front cost to create a permanent nen object with instructions built into it. After all, he needs Emperor Time to set it, but the chain still exists after Emperor Time is turned off.

The Troupe's behavior is consistent if you understand what it means for them to be from an extremely insular culture of people who see themselves as rejected by the world and, generally speaking, divorced from it. All their behavior in Yorkshin is in line with this. Also the poster who said they are at odds with Meteor City's law of retribution is wrong; Chrollo talks about changing the city itself, making it likely he was directly involved in devising that law. I would guess that Mr. Risnose was a Kurta.

The Kurta massacre is unusual because of how excessively cruel it was. Chrollo doesn't seem fucked in the head enough to do this, well Feitan is I suppose. How I see it, the Troupe only defeated the strongest Kurta, then Tse's men moved in on the rest of them while they were defenseless.
