Some /a/nons were wondering about the Yuri Kuma Arashi /a/ sings last thread, so here's an update:I got a few submissions, but it was a lot less than the smallest projects have had in the past, and the threads were very short-lived at the time. The momentum didn't seem to be there but I didn't want to give up on the project, so I decided to postpone it to this summer. I think it's very likely that we will eventually get enough submissions for a viable project, it was just originally a bad time to start organizing a thing for an old show out of the blue when nobody expected it. Lots of buildings have better soundproofing than you might assume, if you have any empty rooms between your room and where other people are. Someone would probably hear you on the other side of the door/wall, but two doors/walls with some air between them is very effective at blocking sound. It depends on the building of course, and if you don't have those empty rooms then it's a moot point, but in my room, I can have speakers blasting so loudly it's uncomfortable and it'll be completely inaudible two doors away. It's worth giving it a shot if you want to have the peace of mind to sing while other people are home.
