Kino first episode. I love the colours, I love the artstyle. I fucking love underwater palaces in any piece of fiction, they're always cool. Cinematography (I forget if there's a word for the equivalent in animation) was great. Lara bursting out of the water with the moon in the background towards the end was probably my favourite shot. Music was also really nice. Maybe an obvious question, but does Lara have that stitch on her tongue because her evil hag aunt "took her voice" or whatever?

From the way they speedran through the whole thing in less than an episode, you can tell they are completely banking on people being familiar with the work. I feel this would have really benefited from a longer first episode (which seems to be in fashion), because the whole thing felt rushed and underdeveloped. Especially Lara as a character. The production value went a long way into elevating the material, though.
