>>289163625Yep, I even have the volumes. Sailor V is the kind of manga that animeonlies of the original Sailor Moon anime would expect. It has the same tone as the show, but even now I love re-reading its final chapters because of the somber tone it eventually takes. It really cemented Venus as one of my favorites out of all the girls.

But after looking at how Sailor V’s first chapter was done I can kind of see how both mangas might go in that direction. The scenes and characters in that first chapter are really striking. Artemis looks at you weird. The villain’s death looks like something that belongs as a try hard Halloween decoration. I’m reminded of that one manga horror series that was story timed not long ago that had a chapter about a supposed incarnation of a miko kill her parents because she was seeing them as monsters, maybe that chapter was inspired by someone reading Sailor V/Moon or something.
