Can we at least get into the symbolism of the knife? In the original tale the knife is given to the mermaid to kill the prince with and save herself. In this version there is a knife but it manifests from a light within Lara and Grace is shocked but delighted to see it. Since Grace is certain Lara can help with someone's resurrection the knife is likely used in this version to do that. It also has a very grisly look to it. I'm very curious on what the resurrection aspect to this story looks like.
