The more I think about it, the more think Lu Tian is actually the biggest waste of a villain in KvP, or at least the biggest waste of a character concept. I mean this is the ONLY other survivor of a Gu ritual we've seen, and one that actually completed the entire process to boot. He should have been a fucking terrifying, demonic fighter, like Agito's "fighter" personality but all the time and without any morality or limits (I notice Agito never uses nut-shots or eye-gouges in the KAT) . Maybe he's a bit older and Agito was meant to be his replacement before Metsudo got in the way, and he's pissed about it. Maybe he's haunted by the guilt of what he did inside the Gu, or the worm weaponizes that guilt to keep him loyal, and he fucking hates Agito for trying to be a good guy despite being a fellow child-murderer. He could even hallucinate all the kids that were in the ritual with him, and believes that when he dies they'll punish him, drag him down to hell or some shit.Also, does Agito even spare a thought for the fact that he was like 2 weeks away from being exactly the same as Lu Tian? Does anyone? So any forces that act on the object laterally merely have to redirect the initial force and it'll carry over most of the energy required to continue moving. Like think of a rock being stationary or slow moving and a rock that is rolling over the ground. If you had another rock in your hand and you'd throw it at the stationary or slow moving rock it would only budge very slightly because of it's inertia and the friction of the terrain. Your rock throw would have to have enough force to overcome those obstacles. If you threw the rock at the one rolling on the ground then inertia and friction aren't an issue anymore so all of the energy in your throw would be directly transferred into changing the trajectory of the rolling rock. So I think it's a simple equation whereEnergy used to change trajectory = Energy of the lateral acting object - friction - inertia (- energy absorbed and lost through bouncing but that should be the same for great and weak forces). So a greater force would be weaker to lateral forces because the inhibitory forces have already been taken care of.

It helps that there are more serious interactions too so the comedy doesn't feel overpowering, and that the fighters still get serious when they need to.
