Hey there, if you were interested in this series, and wondered where I went, I have not died. Life just threw a bunch of things at me, in sequence, so I fell off of this and I didn't come back to it. Life can be stupid sometimes.

Since storytiming Volume 05 back in March last year, I have gotten Volume 06 and 07 translated and finished, I also have raws for Volume 08, and Volume 09 is getting scanned very soon.
In terms of publishing, Volume 10 and 11 have been released, and those are of course also planned.

For those who are interested, I want to ask if you guys think that I should continue straight on at Volume 06, optionally if people think I should start again from the first one?
Basically weighing any potential new interest, versus people being tired of fucking waiting and wanting to get on with it.

Regardless, I'd intend to try to do the storytime this weekend.

Couldn't care less about this moron fanfic. Sorry.

It's not, it's written by Tatsuhiko Ida, with Hiroe Rei. It does incorporate some stuff and some tone from the LNs which Urobochi did way earlier though.

What's Urobocchi The Rock doing these days anyway?

Bump.

Maybe nobody with any potential interest is awake at these hours, so I guess I'll try asking again tomorrow and see if that makes any difference.

I care about it! Please dump chapter again, I really enjoyed the previous threads from the past.
Where do you go to read these? Been trying to find them online but can't!
>>
>>289263656
It's been long enough that it's probably a good idea to start from the beginning again.

Isn't the manga just an adaptation of the LNs? In which case the "writer" of the manga is a mere formality.
>Tone
Not good. The tone of Urucuck is the opposite of Black Lagoon.
>>

No, these do not adapt the LN's.
>>
If you do all of it, do you plan to do it by chapter or volume? By chapter would make it take forever to get back to the new stuff, so I think that would suck. By volume it would be fine to redo stuff, but I'm busy the next couple weeks so I might not be able to keep up.

I will, just wondering how people would prefer to start up again.

>where
I had them uploaded to MangaDicks at first, after storytiming each volume here, but then that site cucked out. Should probably find some alternative to that.

Volume, like before.

Sure why not

No.

Urobocchi wrote a couple of LNs, quite a long time ago. These are somewhat stylistically and tonally different from the manga, broadly, you could look at them as not particularly cannon to the main story, or on the apocryphal side, as the main stories of them do not appear to be acknowledged much or at all by Hiroe.
In fact, Hiroe outright asked Urobocchi to "challenge Black Lagoon's canon."

However, there's various little bits of detail and characterization for side characters which Ida has built upon for Gore Gore Girl. Whether or not those were Urobocchi's ideas, or he took those from Hiroe's notes to begin with, I do not know.

The way stories are told and characters depicted in Gore Gore Girl are on the exaggerated and weird side, kind of like the LNs, and it's not so much the serious kind of the manga, vying more for a fantastical and occasionally paranormal dark comedy angle. I'd suggest this series to also be apocryphal, existing in its own canon.

Would you still like it? I don't know, but I guess based on responses, I'll be doing the first volume again, and probably on Sunday.
I had some of my own misgivings initially, but I grew to enjoy it, however, I may be greatly biased as I've been madly in love with Sawyer since I was like 16-17.
