Volume 15, finished. That ends the Silver Eve Festival Arc. Almost as long as the entire rest of the manga combined. It was notorious as the manga was published because this all took almost half a decade to get through. And I think you all notice how massive the stylistic and tone shift has gotten by the end. But I also think that most of you will agree that in the end it was worth it. This arc has some of the best parts of the series and it totally changes the status quo and several of the characters. So what do you all think? Good, bad, ugly, worth it or not worth it. Share your thoughts. You're setting off a butterfly effect of changes, not all of which you will be aware of because something just got undone you never knew about in the first place and were not watching for. I propose that she should make a cruise missile mode.Think of it this way: her existing slyph shoes are fine for general work, and you use those to get up into the air in the first place. Once at a safe cruising altitude where running into something is not a concern, you have a second magical contraption (for arguments sake, call it a broom) that has an even more beefed up flying sigil on it thats designed for max possible speed. So you fly up high under normal power, get on the broom, point yourself in the direction you want to go, cast Exotic Maneuver and go hyperspeed, and then drop back down to a speed where you can actually tell what the fuck is going on to make direction changes or get ready for a landing using the shoes again. If you go too fast and fall off? You've still got the shoes and you'll be fine as long as you didn't black out from the g forces of going hyperspeed. Let Coco's arrival be announced by the sonic boom she leaves in her wake.

And to that end she is willing to bend the rules as far as she needs to, blackmail sages, lie, cheat, steal, and put herself in grave danger. In the same way that Iguin is right that the sages crossing a line once means that they are likely to cross it again in the future, Silver Eve is a crucible that has forged Coco into a much more dangerous witch. It will be interesting to see how quickly she reaches for these tools again in future arcs in pursuit of her goals.

This went by pretty quick in the volumes. I probably would've dropped this if i was reading it contemporaneously. There's a handful of bullshit this arc but i guess you can just let it ride. Engledale said the spell was to turn you into a slime but it seemed to turn you into whatever you touched next, the problem is turning into a slime or even the leech wasn't really a means to escape the prison.
