Of course stuff like starting-popularity of whatever platform it is being published on and the marketing in general matter for these two, but unlike the other metrics, these actually require an investment and (taking aside the investment of time for all of them) aren't "free" but cost actual money, so they would obviously be more valid metrics than the other ones. You just have to check who the drivers of the production are, how much control the original creator of the work has over the production, and what exactly the target (and, if deviating from it, the actual) audience is.
