Sandro was likely drunk or high when he first wrote this chapter. There is no other reason I can come up with as to why he thought that Luohan was showing hostility to Joji in the previous chapter.

Most of the Sandroisms that we criticize in Omega, Danberu and SiR are also there in Asura. Back in Asura's recent storytime, a lot of people were quick to point out these various Sandroisms.There are, however, two key differences: the first being that TIMING aspect I mentioned earlier, and the other being that people were willing to accept the abundance of mystery boxes and the abundance of loose ends as being the setup phase. That is no longer the case in Omega. People want the mystery boxes resolved and the loose ends tied. The problem is that Sandro never really had any vision or payoffs/resolutions in mind when he laid out all these mysteries in Asura, which is why we have the Omega we have today.
>>289318926The issue with Bakugo is that he's a great charismatic character until the second fight with Deku (where he wins but realises he's accomplished nothing because Deku has the licence and he doesn't) and then All Might shows up to tell them their hero approaches are equally valid when it's clear they're not. That would have been the perfect time for Bakugo's humbling to actually set in and it gets missed so he sort of coasts to the end of the manga not changing properly. Then Deku hogs all the villain fights so Bakugo doesn't even get much chance for action until the final arc.

With Fei we knew why he was strong - he stacked two of the stronger abilities from Ashura on top of each other as well as having a different version of Ohma's Niko kit. Why is Shen strong? He just arbitrarily can one shot everyone.

Or how carefully arranged the fights need to be for Saw and Gaolang's argument to be emotionally resonant - all of Hayami's goons including Julius need to lose before Saw fights Rei so the pressure is on him, then Gaolang needs to fight Agito in the same round. Sandro doesn't just think about his fights vertically (who will fight who next) but horizontally (who is fighting who *in what round*). The choice to cap every round off with an Agito fight that serves as a climax and an approaching menace for our hero on the other side of the bracket is extremely effective.

You could already tell they were going to lose within pages of the fights starting (in Alan's case, since he was already being ignored and treated like a joke by Raian as soon as Eddie was in view) and within like a chapter (in Terashi's case, since it's obvious he wasn't even a real fighter).
