I know she wants to keep up momentum through this part but was in a slump after Vamp-sensei ended. We know she politely hates Karasuma but it really seems like there's a deeper reason strange people come to her calligraphy lessons. Here's my limited interpretation of what's going on with the exorcists:>Karasuma possibly trained under Sayaka's grandma (Sayaka's grandma has the ghost eyes and teaches calligraphy, Karasuma's crows have an odd calligraphy brush style and she hangs around the Horimitsus, Karasuma taught Sayaka to mix her blood into calligraphy to form a barrier) but at some point she became the bad student. Perhaps by class-swapping into ghostpuncher. Karasuma may have been working with or to help Michi's mom, Sou, who likely also had a deep connection to the spiritual side. Things went wrong again and Michi's mom died, which Karasuma blames herself for (Wanting to make it up to Michi in ch13). But this introduced her to Michi and may have inspired Michi the amateur spiritualist to take on Aizawa's ghost problem. You guessed it, things went wrong x3 and now Karasuma's picking up the pieces while trying to keep Sou's daughter out of it.The big questions are: Why does Karasuma know about Aizawa, more than even Tear could tell her? What makes Karasuma more attached to Michi than she lets on? How did Michi and Aizawa even meet? Why is Michi's connection to ghosts sealed and why does Karasuma want to keep it that way?
