Post your manga collection, I know you have one.
I don't own shit physically. I have Tomie by Junji Ito hardcover, and 2 old Shonen Jump magazines from 20 years ago, and that's it.
My manga collection is not particularly big or impressive, since I only recently started buying physical manga.Mostly for stuff I've already read and a few that I've been thinking about reading but held off on, since spending actual money gives me more incentive to actually read them.Yes, I know I'm missing volumes 11 and 13 for MiA, they weren't in stock when I originally bought the rest, I've got them coming in a shipment later this month alongside all 12 volumes of Groundless.

>>289405881>opens a thread about owning things>doesn't own anything>still feels the need to participate, and must advertise not owning anythingUnironically, go kill yourself
>>289405481I have around 600 tomes. What I don't have is good tiddy pic like that with my whole collection, so I'll just show berserk
I have a wide variety.(I have around 1200 physical books, but mostly non-fiction and SF.)
I've gotten several more things since I took this pic. Most of the English stuff is stuff I got when it came out quite a while ago and I've been mainly buying in Japanese when I do buy stuff anymore. >>289406693I have Hidamari Sketch in English. I wish I had gotten it in Japanese and probably will in the future. Still waiting on the next couple of chapters for volume 11 to come out.
>>289407214Do you read in Japanese?
>>289405481I got rid of most of my physical manga seven years ago when I had to move into a smaller place. Not like I had a lot of good stuff back then, it was mostly Tokyopop english stuff from the early 2000's. I kept a few series that I really liked, so now I have Yotsuba, Brides Story, Azumanga, Love Hina (my first manga I read start to finish) and a few others.
>>289405481I'm at the point where my collection is so big I can't even post a picture of it. Funny how I used to make these threads all the time almost a decade ago now, yet I can't even be fucked to participate in them anymore.
How do some anons even afford their giant collections?Just a single 20 volume series will run you like $200-$250.Is it just shit built up over years and years?
>>289407689>Buy used>Buy bulk sets>Buy only in Japanese >Wait for deals>Spend a decade collectingNever buy English unless it's like at the most $5 a volume from Bookmans or Half Price Books.
>>289407655Take multiple photos and then edit them together into a single image.>>289407689When you have a job you can afford to buy stuff that you like>Just a single 20 volume series will run you like $200-$250The only people who buy an entire series at once are posers who put stuff on their shelf and never read it. People who actually read and build up nice collections typically buy a few volumes at a time as stuff is published and over the years that builds into a large collection. Owning a big collection means you've been into the medium for a long time, or at least it's supposed to. Posers buy up full series, then put them on a shelf and never read them. The same shit happens with video game collectors.>$200-$250Do English manga really cost that much these days? I've been living in sunshine land for a decade now so idk what they cost over there anymore.
>>289407352Some stuff I buy just to have. Others I buy to read, usually if I can't find the raws online. >>289407689>have a job>buy a few volumes at a time over some period of time>buy Japanese volumes that are often cheaper, especially used
>>289407803Even then, never buy English. Buying Japanese copies directly supports the mangaka. They don't earn anything on the localized copies beyond an initial licensing fee, but they earn a percentage of all sales on Japanese copies.
>>289405967>>289406693>>289406913can you even read japanese
>>289408586No
>>289408586Yes
not pictured is ~150 manga and ~100 doujin just chilling in some boxes in my living room because I haven't redone my shelves in author > date of publication yet.https://litter.catbox.moe/tvz3xvpfnxex4166.jpghttps://litter.catbox.moe/od4ew25p2mt3a7s1.jpghttps://litter.catbox.moe/9svcb4r9jyqix6v7.jpghttps://litter.catbox.moe/t5vqt298gr22ny7s.jpghttps://litter.catbox.moe/tl781wnk29g0tvks.jpghttps://litter.catbox.moe/0zzzvuhm2i88ji2g.jpg
>>289409369I think the Patlabor manga is the best part of the franchise personally. Haven't seen the series yet but from what I understand it's generally pretty silly while the movies trend towards more serious (especially the second one). I feel like the manga strikes a balance between these.
>>289408793I am majorly jealous of your Gundam collection. Wow.
>>289405481Here's most of mine, though not all. Reposting in better quality.>>289405967Love those Lone Wolf & Cub editions.>>289407214How's the Patlabor manga?
>>289409446I appreciate it anon. It took me a while to get all the out of print books from the 80s but i'm really happy with my collection. I tried to focus on items that didn't have any ebooks available. Hence, for example, why I have the ideon novels vs not the gundam novels as it's nicer to just buy the ebooks. If you have any questions on any of the manga or anime comics or comparisons I don't mind answering them.
>>289405481Thanks for reminding me I have to make space for the manga I ordered yesterday.

>>289411490Limiting yourself isn't the flex you think it is youngshit.
>>289411505It's not a flex. I don't know why I don't read comics.
>>289411469the one korean book triggered you that hard?
>>289411523>>289411505I'm also 37?
