How you start and end a season are more important than you realize. >Regardless of how you feel about the number of GFs being covered this season, our production partners aren't going to approve financing future seasons with minimal amounts of cast additions, if we were to pace things accurately. Anime is expensive, and the GFs we add have to "justify" the costs to our partners. How? Hype, advertising, cross-promotion with merchandise and games, etc.>Some chapters are redundant and can be cut to improve the story's pacing. Do we really need two "Chiyo being a bitch before she learns to relax" chapters?>Some chapters, like the glasses chapter, are not a particularly compelling use of animation as a medium, versus just reading manga panels. As you can tell, we love this series, but we'd also prefer if the chapters we're choosing to adapt are interesting to look at in motion.>The cost for this series' VAs is expensive, and will only get more expensive if the series goes on. Solo date chapters where only one GF VA is recording lines, are not an efficient usage of our production budget. Since we're paying for all of these VAs, we want to adapt chapters that let us use them all as much as possible.
