I didn't see anyone talk about it here but last week's issue of Jump was scalped to high hell and back, all of the shops had signs up saying they were out and they weren't getting more, and people were trying to resell it. I don't even know why. Truly nothing is sacred anymore when even a fucking manga magazine gets scalped.
>>289527815Would it affect the RAWs?
>>289527815It was only being scalped because of some card that came with it. They're already removing the card and reprinting the magazine and most likely won't do that type of freebie again.
>>289527842This was last week's issue and I'm guessing it didn't. Raws probably come from the digital version, no?>>289527854That's retarded. I love card games but they have become a type of literal cancer.
>>289527854Promo items aren't anything new, so why have scalpers only just now become such a problem?
>>289528285In the case of Japan, the scalpers are literally all Chinese and Vietnamese. I don't know why they became a problem in recent years but it just wasn't a thing before.I have no idea why it's happening in other countries. At least in the case of America I assume it probably stems from Jake Paul but I don't actually know because I don't live there.
>>289528285the worse the economy gets the more people decide "fuck it" and abandon their shitty regular job to become a grifter
>>289527815That issue had a long running series end in it by the way, yong takahashi finished school on monday excited to see the finale and went to the newsstand only to find it all sold out
>>289528396There are barely any here where I live and yet my local super market had the sign up yesterday that they were all out. Tons of Flips though but I don't know if they're the type to pull that.
>>289528580Young Takahashi's summer break was ruined by foreign scalpers?
>>289528751yep, sad isn't it?
>>289528285I think the crypto bubble taught everyone there's always a potential market for flipping random junk to retards, plus vintage games and pokemon cards already had some prestige like that to begin with (muh $50k charizard), and it's just spread to literally anything dubbed "collectible" since then.
>>289527890>Raws probably come from the digital version, no?I dunno how it is for manga, but some western comics have shitty low-res/upscaled digital versions, scans would be superior version.
