The fact that Nemesis Q sent them a year ahead of their primary timeline just to deal with Miroku means either:The author meant for it to have 2 or 3 more jumps into the future, extending the manga for over 100 chaptersOr he had to cut it into the last 50 chapters or soI still believe he knew the axe was coming around the 90-100 chapter mark

Ageha and company went to the future before he came up again, so he should have been alive when they left. Nothing shows him among the casualties of the past year since they've returned either. So him staking out the last place Ageha and Amamiya were known to be under the guise of "guarding it" seems like it'd be up his alley.

Probably Mari and the others don't get successfully kidnapped if there's no cancelation notice, or they get freed in a smaller scale raid. Then go back to the past for more information or to enable better preparation before the real final battle at WISE HQ. I don't think he know it was coming that early. IIRC that was around when the series peaked in sales. At most he'd have warning that the magazine considered the growth of the series too slow, and he should try and change things up to improve sales.
