I wonder when this fat fuck will float back in to the series again.
Why is Silva relying so hard on Killua inheriting the family business? Did he give up on Illumi and Milluki because the former is too autistic and the latter too fat and otaku?
>>289675666It's because they haven't manifested Zoldyck traits. They're Mama's boys
>>289675666Silva and zeno both know that killua inherited their side of the gene pool thats why they three have grey hair.
>>289675626Crazy how he looks like kim jong un before the fame.
>>289675666Assuming you take Zeno at his word killing someone they aren't contracted to kill is considered shameful and Illumi's just a fucking murderhobo.
>>289675626Fuckin parade float.
So Furykov's ability would take 3 years to decipher and destroy beyond's curse, but was able to decipher and amplify Benjamin's nen beasts ability to become a "nen God" in 12 days? I guess it could have been 2 months but the beasts didn't seem to "hatch" until they were on the boat
>>289675666The leader of the Zoldycks are selected by hair color. There is a reason why Togashi made Killua as the only child with White hair - the same hair as Silva and Xeno. Its a physical indicator that Killua is the only child that inherited more of his masculine dad's genes whereas the other siblings inherited more of their mom's feminine genes
>>289678432Benjamin's nen beast is at max 2 months old whereas Beyond's nen curse is at least 20 years old. If Furykov wants to decipher this curse, he needs to find Wobble and analyze her curse because its only 14 months old
>>289678361OH! HE'S A ZOLDYCK, YOU DON'T TALK TO HIM LIKE THAT!

>>289679367He deserves it to be honest
>>289679367what is maha even doing?
>>289677689Killua has killed just as many people as illumi? How is killua any different again?
>>289679398>Does his best in the way he was taught by the family while always prioritizing the safety of the family in every situation >Unlike killua or fatty has never once gone against the family interests>Literally does everything he's told>"ERM you're a weirdo therefore we love killua more"Being an autistic is the ultimate zetsu in the hunter world

>>289680643so could god speed Killuathe troupe is a joke without Chrollo
>>289680649I told you her name is Asta.
>>289675666what the Zoldycks do is the sort of thing real occult "elite" bloodlines do to their own offspring. you get programmed regardless but you generally come out as either a psycho drone or a slave. rarely you get someone transcendent that can be groomed and trained to lead.Kalluto and Alluka are slaves, Illumi and Milluki are psycho drones that uphold the system/family to feed their lifestyles. Killua has the makings of an heir, as someone who was able to cultivate a multifaceted personality (notice how narrowly focused the other siblings and their interests are), understand their family system enough to abide by it then bend the rules where it matters, etc.the Zoldycks need a Killua, but in a form that puts the family and its business as first priority.

>>289678432I assume that the curse taking 20-something years to build up made it more powerful. Along with who knows how many other conditions.Likely for this exact reason, to make it as hard to exorcise as possible.

Furykov confirms the curse triggers when you take part in the ritual, not when you actually go on the boat: so the real Woble is not on the ship (maybe), but she's still been cursed by Beyond's shenanigans cause she took the ritual.

>>289680667>this guy can kill spiders>oh yeah? so can geneticallyengineeredtokillspidersgroyper. So what?
New reader. I was reading last thread and it was said that Genthru's countdown was a group ability. Correct me if im wrong but didn't Genthru threaten to use countdown in his fight against Gon once Little Flower was getting countered? I thought the manual deactivation of countdown was the only group part of it
>>289675626Most of the new chapter was the lamest recap ever while the only new content was a tutorial on how to use the mail service, I can't even...
>>289679848I think living on an island paradise where all your needs are met by Nen, and your wildest fantasies were made real by you and your friends, as well as custom Npc's for the admins to fuck and do whatever they want with is a bit better than a "hellscape". You are right about Elena and Eta, but they were able to detect when intruders approached the island on a boat, so maybe that Nen script allows them clairvoyance, and they can gain sensory experience of everything that happens on the island at will. They had a bunch of teleport locations with pictures too, maybe they can see those marked locations and their surroundings as well. Maybe they can choose to inhabit Npc's, or control them to a limited degree, who knows.I do think they left the island to vote in the Election anyway, so maybe Greed Island can be shut down for maintenance lmao. Give them Christmases and Holidays off.
>>289681077>Fuugetsu ability changing conditions>Melody accusing Luzurus on a hunch Melody and Nencho were having a private conversation, it was Nencho who said she had a suspect in mind. The next page is a hardcut to a different conversation with Kaiser. Here Melody accuses Luzurus and Nencho goes "oh yea I bet it's him for sure!" It's obviously rehearsed, so there's reason to suspect that everything they said in front of Kaiser was bullshit. "Fugetsu needs to have been there to use her door" is just pretense for whatever they wanted to accomplish with the letters. Trust the plan.
>>289681077>A card game with zero strategyA card game-autist anon actually ran the game multiple times, and his results were that Borksen pretty much played it as well as she could without knowing that cheating might manipulate her into saying yes.
>>289680713There's also the practical reason that Killua's strong, Silva and Zeno both worked on the contract against Chrollo, and at least one of them could've died despite being strong. We don't see too many other older Zoldycks besides Maha, so they probably do get killed from time to time.
>>289681223You're correct
>>289681077dude shut the fuck up we finally get some headway into the writing and you want to start poking holes, shut the fuck up
>>289681223>I thought the manual deactivation of countdown was the only group part of itThat is the case. Whcih means you can give merely a portion of your ability symbiotic elements, which is cool.
>>289681296We also don't know if Eeta and Elena are stuck in their rooms. Elena was seen sipping coffee, that must have come from somewhere. Hell, they're still human beings. They gotta use the bathroom.Could be a thing where they're pinged by nen and telported to their stations whenever a user enters or leaves the game, but are otherwise free to do whatever.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f5uUGfTNcq8&pp=0gcJCWQCo7VqN5tD Given enough time.and we won't have to wait for anime to get our chrollo vs hisoka fight.I hope ai will keep improving for this
>>289681398>Elena was seen sipping coffeeI just assumed that room was like a holodeck that could provide them whatever they needed when it wasn't in use. Either by Conjuring it or teleporting it to them.
greed island was pretty based
>>289681428It was boring swill
If Genthru tried walking around the Black Whale touching people he’d trigger a dozen different autistic counter abilities. Why were the Greed Island hunters such scrubs?
>nen type: transmutation >ability: aura disables friction, so you can slide across flat surfaces and are immune to bludgeoning attacksWould this be good?
>>289681428I never got the hate for it, I like it more than hunter exam, heavens arena, and arguably Yorknew
Genthru is A tier nigga
>>289675626i need him in 10 panels spread throughout 10 chapters of him eating food inside the boat, only to leave immediately upon setting foot on the fake island
>>289681428It was the last good arc of this series.
>>289681449Yeah its simple and strong like Bungee Gum or Nen Threads.
>>289681437>Why were the Greed Island hunters such scrubs? They underestimated the game, and then either got married like that dude who tried to take a card from Gon and Killua, or just went to Aiai to fuck NPCs.
>>289681449You’d slide into the sun
>>289679367I always wonder, is there a reason Killua doesnt really care about Kalluto? I dont think he EVER mentioned him. He doesnt seem like a bad person at all and I dont think he has the personality to annoy Killua either.
>>289675626When togashi use the power of AI to draw faster cause the current arc is not gonna end soon, my bet this would take around 2 years or longer if his back made of gum again.
>>289681476>When togashi use the power of AI to draw faster
>>289680542The hunter association are lapdogs anon.
>>289680769>>289680716>Beyond is against the rape festivalsAny chance he freed Morena? Could Beyond be the joker they are talking about?
>Beyond planned everything 20 years in advanceWoah.I guess his goal is to crash the whole ceremony.
>>289681532No. Heil-ly wants to destroy Kakin, Beyond wants to control Kakin. Their goals don’t align.
>>289681538It’s 50 years, speedy. Try to keep up
>>289681449Removing friction would not make you immune to bludgeoning attacks. It would have some effect to reduce the amount of force that could be transferred. However a lot of simplified simulations actually ignore friction in their calculations because it doesn't matter enough for them. Like if you are making a simulation for billiards, you usually don't need to calculate the friction between the balls, just with the table. Though without friction calculations between the balls you won't get the simulation to properly show the effects of imparted spin. The ability might actually do better against cutting and piercing, as blades and points would need better alignment or they could slip off.
>>289681428Excellent training arc, easily the best one ever made. But it wasn't just about training; you never really knew what was gonna happen with so many cards and players around, and its existence alone really showed how much you can do with Nen. Yet, the practice was so engrossing you almost didn't give a shit about the game or anybody playing for a while, much like Gon and Killua, so you're as taken aback as everyone else when Genthru kicks things into high gear.I also get a kick out of Togashi subverting the "hero masters a new technique mid-fight that flips the tables" trope. Sometimes, gambles like Bisky's really don't pay off. But you're so used to them paying off in a triumphant moment that you might forget how well-telegraphed the giant rock plan is, because Gon shooting a nen blast seems cooler. Only to start begging Gon to quit being retarded and follow the goddamn plan, regardless of whether you guessed what it was or not, once Genthru kicks his shit in.The whole thing also comes back during the Knuckle fight; scissors was introduced as a surprise, so paper wouldn't have the same impact if Gon pulled it out of nowhere. However, since Gon did emitter training, and it's the only one of three moves left, it feels rewarding to see the attack after so long. It also functions like Bisky said it would: it gave Gon more options, rather than being lethal on its own.Gred Island's not as emotionally resonant as Yorknew or Chimera Ant. Doesn't have as many characters and plot lines as Succession. It feels like a detour. However, enjoying such things is one of the series' themes, and Ging spells it out. Greed Island's underlying aspects show storytelling mastery in their own way. It'd be the best arc in any series that wasn't as good as HxH.
>>289681603Aura itself slows, and resists force, if you don't have enough aura, it can't stop all of the force and you take some damage, but like when Gon tried to stop Razors ball, this doesn't happen instantly, there is a split second where the forces meet and counteract each other, if his aura is also frictionless, that split second could be enough for the attack to slide off harmlessly
>>289681496>I'll do it slowly and whenever I wantbeing a fan of HxH is equvalent to being a cuck
>>289681466I'll slide into your fucking bootycheeks, nigger
>>289681361>>289681367I see. Thanks.
Furykov: Hold on Balsamico! Beyond has curse children planted all over tier 1! They could detonate at any point and kill their designated prince. We should be cautious of course but still not wait too long. Its a ticking timebomb we are dealing with and we dont have any counter measures against it!Why didnt Furykov mention this? Would have changed their whole plan and prevented Tse and Kurapika class from learning nen making their position weaker. Also the awakening with Halkenberg.
He could probably wipe the floor with most of troupes other than combatant members like Feitan or Finks
>>289681691paku would destroy him
>>289681677why didnt ben just use the virus boots to kill some/all of his siblings at the banquet on day 1?
>>289681677Because uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shut up. Don’t poke holes in Togashi’s writing
>>289681677The 4 most likely options in my opinion are>He figured out Benjamin's Nen beast's ability and wanted the whole "Nen god, tree of Kakin" ending >He thought telling them would be figured out and the curse would be activated before everything is in place>He's being manipulated, or does not have the best intentions in mind for Ben despite what he says>Togashi preferred it to be a reveal, but in an arc where he's having everyone act incredibly cleverly, it feels like a cop out, or bad writing, not something Furykov would do.

Honestly Genthru only gets underestimated because he looks like a fodder character.
>>289681645It would really depend on how exactly aura to aura interactions are affected. However while I can easily see it negating any glancing blow, and reducing the effect of anything without perfect alignment, the deflection would still require transferring the energy from its inertia. The lack of friction just allows for a more complete deflection, it doesn't mean you can just skip the energy transfer that causes the change in course.
>>289681729You're just mad because he's a white man
>>289681467Killua hates his mom and not only is Kalluto quiet, but he's also mostly hanging around her.>>289681629Greed Island also has some rewatchability, it's interesting to go back and speculate how Ging and co. built all that with nen
>>289681765genthru gets clowned on because he lost to a little boy
>we're here to fuck bitches
>>289681754Right but his jaw wasn't broken where he was hit. And that's 70% of Gon's aura, vs a Kick to Pakunoda in base Ten.
>>289681768>It would really depend on how exactly aura to aura interactions are affected. However while I can easily see it negating any glancing blow, and reducing the effect of anything without perfect alignmentI can agree with that.I just err on the side of the Transmuter. Since all of their aura properties are nonsense anyway.

>>289681813>The more people caught in it the more difficult it would be to cover it up.Ben would easily be able to censor that shit, especially with the King being 100% on board and the entire voyage being set up specifically to allow this sort of thing to happen.>Ben also doesn't seem to want a lot of extraneous deaths.Much more reasonable explanation

I just realized what the actual purpose behind deep purple is. He's using the diving beetle strategy to breathe underwater by diffusing oxygen through a bubble of air. And smokey jail isn't a combat ability either, it's a diving bell. His smoke soldiers are also designed for operating in low visibility confined spaces like wrecks and caves using En to see even in pitch blackness or total siltouts. Even his smoke shackle is actually a recovery line! And his constant monitoring of his condition to the percentage and strict timelines are all from technical dive training where you have to constantly monitor your oxygen levels and plan out everything to the second.

The obvious answer is that the Lynch Shapeshifter was also a hisoka shapeshifter and their goal was to get a meeting with the mafia. And why would anyone want this meeting? What would someone pretending to be Hisoka gain from this if not getting he Xi-Yu to be more lenient to the Troupe while on the lower levels? Lynch being killed also makes sense when you realize she probably did learn something and got silenced for it. But the only thing she could have learned was the identity of the fake hisoka since that was the only question she asked before she got knocked out. >>289681987Also true, quite frankly nobody else should be in the know about the Spider v Hisoka feud, much less inserting themselves into it.
>>289682156No. You’re not sacrificing anything. You already lived on a planet with bunnies. Nothing has changed. That’s not a vow. A vow would be like a person who’s afraid of bunnies carrying one around with them at all times.

>>289682182I am sacrificing something. Every attosecond being on the same planet as a bunny is more terrifying that the worst and most demonic afterlife you can imagine. Having a kidney stone the size of the sun would be less than the sheer pain and terror I feel from a single one, let alone the knowledge there is a species. I also sacrifice my ability to move to another planet or location on this planet without them that is protected from them ever arriving.
>>289680800There is probably more human sacrifice rituals tied to the royals/empire outside of the princes in the succession ceremony. The king seems like he may be willing to sacrifice almost everyone on the ship to super charge whatever is really going on. Another failed expidetion to the dark continent is a convenient way to cover up a giant human sacrifice
>>289682156Understandable. That would be life if I sacrificed my ability to rape Reinhard Heydrich. You are now granted the ability to give routes to every routelet.
>>289682206Nasubi definitely does want to establish the colony on the fake Dark Continent though. Reminder, Halkenburg believes/intuits that when a possessed target's body dies (Shikaku's body possessed by Sumidori who then shot himself) the inhabiting soul dies with it. Meaning Sumidori's soul did not return to his original body, leaving Shikaku to be the sole inhabitant of Sumidori's body.

>>289682052>>289682089They're more closely guarded than the king himself. I guess they are somewhere in the vicinity of the coffin room (or maybe directly in/above/below it) to power the corpses. Very few talents like Ging and Beyond have a systemic/AoE nen prowess (Benjamin is threatening to do the same), so Chrollo is definitely an underdog to try exploiting it, yet we know he most definitely will manage with his intelligence it's only a matter of how. The seed urn has already performed its function pre-departure, so this might be the easiest to steal barring some military goons. The mummy hands which oversee the contest could be the tough one, making it a battle of Chrollo vs a bunch of hands. His cape could ward them off until he pockets that treasure with it, but all the powers he used during his fight with Hisoka would be useless against them. Then there's that sword which is given to the new king upon victory. Maybe this is a sword in the stone tier treasure which only the king can take, but otherwise poses zero threat? In this case, maybe his condition to steal this is to force/manipulate Nasubi to pull it out for him. In other words, his opponents for each treasure would be military --> Treasure itself --> Nasubi in terms of difficulty. Should he succeed, this would benefit Beyond, Kurapika and the younger princes, while making even greater enemies of Hisoka, the mafia, and the older princes. >>289682105kek

>>289682458There's a bunch of guys in kakin that need killing. Obviously these factions are upset with the idea of Benjamin having total control. But he's also genuinely and unequivocally for the betterment of the nation above all else- hence he would be a good candidate for King. Shown multiple times that he genuinely has nothing against the weak princes. They're just in the way.
>>289682458He'd maintain the status quo. Maybe get rid of the rape festivals and lean harder into military dictatorship. A successful ruler, but not to the average citizen.

>>289683422There's no difference there though
>>289683000If I had to guess, creating clairvoyance like that without any restrictions beyond a little blood and a crystal ball was just too much for the story. Neon's ability was well balanced from both a narrative perspective but also a nen perspective. It only focused on averting bad fates and the information it gave could be vague, which is why the Troupe needed to corroborate multiple fortunes to understand what was going to happen and when. Neon/Chrollo not being able to read fortunes also kept the out of the loop. When Palm first shows up she could basically know anything at any time. Changing it to the new rules brings her in line with previous and later powers. Since her ability is a lo like Musse's, it's more likely she uses emissions to extender her senses and looking at someone is her form of Marking, like how touching is used for Rear Window. It also allows her to have more intrigue as it led to her being in the palace at all.
>>289683200We know that the festival takes place every few years and the last one was a year before the ship's departure. Given the massacre happens when Kurapika is around Gon and Killua's age, I speculated the event happened every 4-5 years. If you add that Risnorth died 10 years ago, I theorise that one of the kakin mafia families connected to him helps setting up the rape festival, investigated his death and figured someone from Meteor City was responsible. This may sound a bit ridiculous, but my guess is that the mafia used Sheila to locate the kurta village. I can go into more detail of what I mean by this if you want, of course

It appears all Kurta become Specialists when their eyes turn scarlet, but the ability itself was Kurapika's own creation.>i can see this for the chain jail but for the others (dowsing, heart piercer), they seem to be op, no?Dowsing is good support, but it's no game changer and a normal conjurer ability. Holy Chain would likely have much worse healing outside Emperor Time, since it relies on enhancement. Judgment Chain may or may not need Kurapika to inform you of the rules you can't break, but regardless, he can only use it during Emperor Time. And the physical toll already made Kurapika dizzy just from the Uvogin fight, which can't have been long. Hours knocked him out for two days, though the stress of the situation surely didn't help.In addition to all that, Scarlet Eyes are a biological feature that Kurapika is forcing active. Think about that. He's forcing something that normally only activates via anger to turn on at will. That cannot be healthy. Rage is a tiring emotion as is. Kurapika's either making himself mad every time, or he's learned from muscle memory how to activate the eyes without getting mad, which would still drain him.All in all, Kurapika's abilities are incredibly short-sighted. He speedran becoming a one-man army against one group, and half his abilities don't work without placing himself under psychological and/or physical strain.

Thinking more about it. Why can't Kurapika at least confirm whether the real Wobles is on the ship or not with dowsing chain? He could pinpoint Neon with just a map and he's even met the real Wobles if contact or proximity is a condition for this function of dowsing chain. He could have Oito request a map of the black whale and at least verify the baby isn't there.

>>289684612>proves me right???
>>289684579>because confirming Woble is on the ship right now is his worse possible moveHe doesn't have to tell Babimyna or even get Woble. But he also is intending to have Gon and Killua protect the child, a child he could verify is not on the ship so that plan actually has merit. So if Woble's is on the ship, he could contact Mizaistrom and have him get the child if on the lower deck, or even another Zodiac if Woble's is on Tier 2. Worst case is that the real Woble's is in Nasubi's room because he knew about the swap and is holding the child himself. >>289684629You and I both know that "intuition" doesn't explain how he predicted where she was at when she got picked up by Chrollo and taken to the Cemetary Building. All Kurapika knew was that she snuck out at some train station and was missing for hours. His ability however found her location within seconds.
>>289684444Good god. Look at dem digits.
>>289684433I actually can't think of an answer. He didn't even seem to be in Emperor Time when he used that function of Dowsing Chain. Only possibility that comes to me is that finding out if Woble is on the mainland isn't enough. Protecting her from the curse or any officers trying to find her there is also of utmost importance. Sending the letter, as well as Gon and Killua, is riskier, but gets the job done immediately. It is true that there's no time to waste in this situation.
>>289684639Hisoka redirected the ball that came from Razor's massive Ko.

>>289684677That ball was thrown by Gon as I've previously said, Razor just bounced it back
>>289684044Chrollo has worked with Illumi before and knows he's professional, same case with letting Hisoka join. Difference is, Illumi has that contract to hunt Hisoka.
Is Biscuit still a virgin?
>>289684573>but wouldn't anyone that already has an ability overload their nen with such a complicated hatsu tacked on to their kit?No, because it's Chrollo's nen that maintains Skill Hunter even after death. And Skill Hunter actually works just fine as a post mortem totem because all the rules for it's usage revolve around the book itself. >>289684548>I bet some of the readers won't even know what this isI have fond memories of stamping those cards myself.

In other words, he had no way of knowing she was able to gain access to that building and was assuming she would be somewhere else nearby. None of this is explained just by intuition.
>>289684839The dowsing chain is obviously inspired by dowsing and radiesthesia. It seem to be a supernatural trait of the materialized chain, so trying to explain it through bare enhancement or something like that will fall short. But there are probably some unknown preconditions to make the prediction useful, maybe Kurapika needs more info on Wooble or something like that.
Biscuit is OWED sex. Remember this.
>>289684400Killua renounced his ways and only killed people threatening him. If you're talking about Hisoka, Gon opposed recruiting Hisoka, but Bisky arranged it. Komugi, as far as he knew, was aligned with the ants that killed his mentor, so he had direct business with them. He asked Chrollo why he could kill people on an impersonal basis the way he does, he could've asked Killua but he knew Killua couldn't do that, while Chrollo can. No offense to you, but le Gon is a psychopath is such a bullshit trend in the broader fandom.
>>289684900I will pay my debt
>>289684668Kys cucked shipper
>>289684893I just think looking at Palm's previously Omniscient clairvoyance gives us the most rational answer. Togashi retcons abilities without drawing attention to them so Kurapika just lost the ability to track people with dowsing chain because it makes for a less interesting story. Instead it focuses purely on lie detection with the wrinkle being that people who don't know they are lying can also pass which works better for an information control focused arc. The only conceivable restrictions would have to be contact or proximity to the person he is tracking going off similar abilities. Even on Greed Island when Tsezguerra's guy had a radar for Genthru's crew. Those parties had interacted in the past as well as the robbery Genthru made when trading cards. So that fullfills the only logical conditions for a tracking ability. This isn't a big deal, it's just something I noticed when thinking back. The story is more interesting if Kurapika can't tell if Woble's is on the boat than if he knew at least that.
>>289685033As an enhancer Palm have good efficiency with Emission. As we know emission is the nen that rules over teletransportation and spatial relationship. My guess is that clairvoyance and scrying is an emission ability.
>>289684920I meant the scissors guy on greed island, he is a straight up serial killer and Gon looks past this because hes useful for training
>>289684662>He doesn't have to tell Babimyna or even get Woble. You don't understand. Its like how Oito not knowing where Woble is was her greatest defense. Until Kurapika has means to secure Woble, he doesn't want to know where Woble is.
>>289684817So is the dark continent a conjuration or an emitter ability?
>>289684839Regardless of the details, Kurapika's unconscious had a lot to work with.In Woble's case, he has nothing.
>>289685074>You don't understand.I do understand. Right now Kurapika is trying to verify through a very risky plan of contacting someone on the mainland that Woble's is safe and not on the ship so he can have his own people take her into custody. Why would it be less risky to confirm she isn't on the boat at all if he has the right ability for the job? And in a way that is much faster while still having the ability to communicate to capable people like the Cow for protection services? >>289685091>Regardless of the details,The details matter. He had no way to know where Neon was and still found her. This clearly goes beyond just using intuition as an argument.
>>289679367Illumi literally has the mindset of a bug.Even as an assassin, you should possess some degree of humanity.
>>289685072My argument would still apply, he was following Bisky's direction because she was his master, he doesn't go out of his way to befriend these people, which is why he's typically on guard around Hisoka.>>289684363Hisoka's also been a sort of side protag for much of the manga, he's probably going to fight either Chrollo or Machi in some eternal battle by achieving quasi immortality via nen, so he gets what he wants but it's also kind of a hell that he happens to delight in.
>>289685090It is a nen ritual byproduct of all nen types.Every human on not-earth have nen potential. The subconscious nen potential carry over all their fears and nightmares and subconsciously give shape to the dark continent.Basically humanity subconsciously execute a gigantic mega nen ritual that creates the dark continent and the magical beasts. That's more or less part of the plot of Shin Sekai Yori, replacing nen by ESP.
>>289685033I don't think Kurapika even met the real Woble, while he spent several days with Neon and had reason to think of her as a priority for tracking. If there were any preconditions we don't know about with the chain to use it to find someone, it's pretty reasonable he could have achieved them with her.
>>289684920>le Gon is a psychopath is such a bullshit trend in the broader fandom.NTA but making excuses for Gon is no better. Killua only told Gon he ran away because he didn't feel like doing what his family wants, nothing about the conversation implied Killua quit for good and he didn't show any regret. Gon did not care.Gon doesn't like Hisoka, but that's because Hisoka is a jerk who hurt his pride.Gon did not even for a second think about or give a shit about whether or not Komugi was a collaborator. He thought Pitou was hurting a human, which reminded him of Kite, and then when it was confirmed she was being healed, after Killua told Gon she was probably the third party that had been discussed, he only gave Pitou an hour to save her life because it was unfair that she was showing kindness after killing his friend. And then used that healed girl as a hostage. He asked Chrollo how he can kill random people because to Gon it didn't make any sense that you can do that while mourning your own, it has nothing to do with Killua and everything with Gon's naive, hypocritical nature. Gon already decided he liked Killua and was his friend. Chrollo fits neither of those and is part of a group he assumed were emotionless killers. Why does this have to be one or the other? Normal guy or psycho? Gon doesn't care about conventional morality, only what he's interested in and what he likes. Painting him in either black or white is silly, the whole point is he can be both the best and worst of people.
>>289685206Well that could explain why there's dinosaurs and other creatures that may be considered extinct, could get really cerebral with exploring human fears and all that
>>289682049He probably doesn't take her seriously as a threat, and thinks he can leave siblings like her for last.

>>289685248adding to this, Gon did not give a fuck about hurting Killua hands in dodgeball
Is a conjurer just a specialist with extra steps? It seems like it's possible to conjure just about anything with the ability X where X can even be stuff outside of standard nen categories.
>>289685229>I don't think Kurapika even met the real WobleHe literally held her. He confirms this with Oito. The switch happened after she left that hotel. >If there were any preconditions we don't know about with the chain to use it to find someone, it's pretty reasonable he could have achieved them with her.Musse confirms that touching once is a condition. Palm confirms that seeing the target once is also a condition. Kurpika fulfilled both of those with the only other caveat being he needs a map to pinpoint a location. This isn't that hard anon, he should be able to tell if Wobles is on the ship or not. >>289685318Then I find your point wrong because I've explained how his intuition cannot explain how he knew she go past the security thanks to Chrollo and made it into the auction building properly.
>>289685322Him fucking Killua's hands is stretching it, that was a show of trust.

He cannot trust the Justice department, they are already using a prince as a hostage. If Kurapika, Cow and Biscuit were standing in a room together and were like "lets go get this fucking baby", that is a good means to collect Woble. Everything else is not a tenable solution.

>>289685376>conditions aren't universalSome actually are though. Teleportation abilities require warping. Even related abilities like Greed island flight cards, or Fuugetsu's magical door fullfill this condition. The GI cards require that a set location or the user having encountered a GI player to warp to. Fuugesu's GSB is likely the worm that was shown threading itself around the ship so that's how she got to the lower tiers in the first place when she used her ability. >>289685395>He cannot trust the Justice department,Mizai is not a member of he justice department. >If Kurapika, Cow and Biscuit were standing in a room together and were likeMizai was able to communicate a plan to help the princes escape to Melody just fine. Kurapika can do literally the same using hunter code. >>289685374There is an element of trust but more pressingly Gon is Killua's first ever Best Friend. Killua has for the first time developed a precious bond that only a short while ago was nigh impossible for him to imagine. This is precious to Killua, and he'll do just about anything to protect it, even if it hurts him.Whether or not Gon knows it, he abused Killua's loyalty and love. This is not an argument anon>The last time we saw him he was accepting the King's letter for the Justice Department.Getting a letter does not mean he accepts the rules and can't break them when we previously saw he was perfectly fine doing it. There is no reason for Kurapika not to trust him in this situation if Woble's is on the lower tier.
>>289685248>NTA but making excuses for Gon is no betterI can see how what I said comes off like excuses, but you're not really connecting it to what I was replying to, my point was that the situations were more nuanced than Gon having zero morality. And frankly, having anything to say about Gon being a psychopath is objectively better than the usual circlejerk. With that said, Gon was raised with good morals from Aunt Mito, and Togashi himself said he wrote Gon to be like a son you'd like to have, his subversion comes from shonen protags who are so ambitious to the extent that they could just as easily be like villains.>Killua only told Gon he ran away because he didn't feel like doing what his family wantsSo he wasn't a killer anymore because he didn't want to, that was enough for Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika, the latter 2 who even defended Killua after he killed an examinee because they recognized he wasn't a bad person.>Gon doesn't like Hisoka, but that's because Hisoka is a jerk who hurt his pride. It's not like he overlooks what Hisoka's like either>it was unfair that she was showing kindness after killing his friendThat was a fair crashout because he was upset seeing his mentor brutalized and wasn't aware Pitou's morality changed, and my point still applies, Komugi was aligned with the ants. He gave a reasonable amount of time for Pitou to stabilize her and calmed down after, he needed to negotiate with Pitou to heal Kite, he only knew them to be ruthless and operate like actual ants, which only care about their colony, an appeal to humanity wasn't going to make Pitou do shit.>Why does this have to be one or the other?I could ask you the same thing since you're making a case that Gon is just selfish, that is likely another of Togashi's subversions that the guy who'll do anything for his friends may not necessarily do things for other people, but Gon still picks good company to begin with because of his morality
>>289685298Nah you're backtracking after saying he has 0 morality>>289685322>>289685566Killua is also willing to put himself in harm's way, like the hunter exam and heaven's arena, so Gon would trust Killua to handle it even if it's hard, just as he does for situations like Genthru.

>>289685450That some conditions are consistent in application, doesn't mean that they are all that is required. A simple condition to add to an ability would be a time limit. Another as far as the dowsing chain, considering other uses involve intuition, it could require some level of knowledge about the target. Kurapika knew Neon wanted to go to the auction, and thus the only surprising thing is that it discovered was that she managed to get through security.I'm not saying this is absolutely not a retcon, just that if the ability is needed later Togashi can make up a reason consistent with everything presented in the story for it not to work in this case but to have worked with Neon.
>>289683704Chrissy is a Transmuter and Paulie is an Emitter.Tony could be an Enhancer.
>>289685815>That some conditions are consistent in application, doesn't mean that they are all that is requiredI think I've made a strong care for contact or proximity being necessary for marking. And for Togashi letting some powers that border on omniscient, only to get dialed back via retcon existing. >considering other uses involve intuitionThis caveat only existed in the post-election arc. As far as we knew in York Shin, Dowsing Chain just knew if someone was lying or not without fault. >Kurapika knew Neon wanted to go to the auctionHe also knew Neon had been sent away thanks to the increased security. He was trying to find out where she would have gone after that. Which could have been anywhere. She might have gone back to the hotel they were staying in, or she might have gone back to the train station she fled. >fust that if the ability is needed later Togashi can make up a reason consistent with everything presentedMy whole argument is that right now is that time and Togashi isn't using it despite the obvious utility of a tracking ability for a person Kurapika has held and seen with his own eyes.
>>289685605Considering this reveal, I do wonder if there are some characters we have seen, who were actually specialists, but squandered their potential. The only one that comes to mind though is Basho, and really his haiku might just not have shown their full potential.

So, is really there a prince who's Beyond's child or not? With this chapter and all that crap about him mixing truths with lies, I don't know what to think.
>>289686174What? He’s the most overpowered character in the manga relative to his experience? He destroyed one of the best enhancers in the series.Emperor time makes him busted.
>>289686303He's only good against spiders
>>289686139>It seems super insane to me for Kurapika to call someone who works for the justice departmentMizai works for the hunter's association with no implied long-term allegiances to Kakin beyond making sure this boat doesn't sink. >>289686130>He also in this arc added in the conditions to Emperor Time that it takes lifespanKurapika found Neon without emperor time though. > just don't see not using an ability as nearly as big of a deal as you do.I don't think it's a big deal, but I'm autistically driven to reply to people who don't have good arguments against the story not using his power either. >>289686189>It couldn't have been ANYWHERE, that's the point. It could. His intuition settled on the least likely which is that Neon got past police security after Light himself made sure to get the police actively looking for her. >That's why Kurapika needed a mapIntuition does not explain how he figured out her final location when there are now 3 very viable and likely spots among the myriad others that could have happened. She could have gone to a coffee shop out of anger or been stuck in traffic after her Cab was turned away. >Ask yourself why he didn't know who was the owner of thar scarlet eyes collection until Mizaistom told him.Based on everything I've said and believe. He cannot track someone he has never met before. Especially post-election arc where Dowsing chain has exclusively been used as a lie detector.
>>289686303>He destroyed one of the best enhancers in the series.A spider, yeah. Against other people and without using his eyes that literally kill him he's kind of just meh.
>>289686141Exactly, Killua is just being a geek overthinking it.Anyway he realized he was being too gay and clingy so he went off to learn how to be a family man by taking care of his retarded sibling.
>>289685427Why do people think that Tserrie wasnt participating often? Literal sadist and inflicting torment on the lower cast is in character. He probably went so often he got bored and went pretentious about it. That dude tortures women (even the stupidest get chopped into mince meat) for fun, he was most definitely attending more than once or atleast supervising through the old Hei-ly. Who says he didn’t pick the smartest of the bunch? His motto is to separate useful trash from useless trash, pretty in tune with what is happening there. Why would he not attend if everyone besides him is classified as trash anyway no matter your status? That guy screams carneval so loud it might as well be a red herring.
Is it just me, but anyone else kind of agree that the walls of text can be too much or annoying, yet it doesn’t really affect their enjoyment of the arc?I’m not sure if it’s because this arc ticks all the right boxes in my head, but I can read people complain about the text boxes, go “yea that’s a lot of text”, and still enjoy this shit. Everyone I see who likes this arc loves or pretends to love the text but aren’t there people who love it despite the text?
>>289682131Too soon bro I still haven't recovered
>>289686378It would be better if Togashi could concise the text but I don't see it as a make or break type of deal. Kurapika yapping is ultimately nothing compared to the story potentially being for fucked up by bad writing.I worry about that more than the walls of text. Like let's say Alluka ports in and ends the whole thing in a deus ex machina with none of the plotlines amounting to anything, that's way worse than Kurapika yapping for 3 chapters straight
>>289686321>Intuition does not explain how he figured out her final location when there are now 3 very viable and likely spots among the myriad others that could have happened. She could have gone to a coffee shop out of anger or been stuck in traffic after her Cab was turned awayYou don't seem to understand how intuition and the unconscious works. You're trying to arrive to the answer from a purely rational standpoint. The unconscious is much more powerful than that. There are documented cases of women, who have never met before, getting put into a trance state through hypnosis, not sharing a word, and then they both knew everything about each other. If they were married, divorced, whether they had kids, how many, etc.Dowsing Chain just taps into Kurapika's unconscious (which is many times more powerful than the conscious mind).
>>289682079The true Queen
>>289682156My nen vow is I won't eat Tacos on a Tuesday. This restriction increases my aura by 1000 times
>>289686536>You don't seem to understand how intuition and the unconscious works.I do>You're trying to arrive to the answer from a purely rational standpoint.I'm using the story's own logic and working within that>There are documented cases of womenI played 999 and understand all about the morphogentic field anon. That isn't presented as an argument for how Kurpapika could know where Neon was, but not use that same capability to find Wobles. You honestly don't see how your argument supports him just using his power to see if Woble's is on the boat.
>>289686488Same. Unlike people who hate this arc though, I think abnormally fast pacing just to get to more action and deaths would be a make or break for me. I hate when authors rush shit or ruin their setup for some magical carrot ruining all their buildup. And as someone who doesn’t read battle Shonen that much any more but loves drama and dialogue driven series I can deal with this lengthy buildup.
>>289686588But if I did have a critique: I think Togashi’s dialogue writing is much much more interesting than his internal thought writing. His internal thought writing is good enough but i prefer dialogue. And im afraid that marital law will have an abundance of internal thought pages. It would be annoying but again wouldn’t make or break the arc for me.
>>289682156
>>289679470>best in the way he was taughtthis lack of flexibility is the problem. >Literally does everything he's toldyea he cant command, he can follow orders. That sort of conservatism would make the family incredibly vulnerable.
>>289686588No one is asking for abnormally fast pacing. He was just better and having spaces where there is calm, and spaces where there's action before. Now the story is dominated by paranoia, frantic thinking and time slowing down. The actual events, kinetic happenings, are few and far between these thinking sessions. Characters are enormously more passive now than anywhere else in the manga. I prefer the old manga and the old Togashi
>>289686538Can Fugetsu have sex with her nen-sister?
>>289686688You need a guy like Illumi if you want the assassin business to keep going He knows his calling and he's good at it
>>289675626When will he get his redemption arc?
Would you rather bisky wag thr oar or kuraoika
>>289686688actually it seems the reason Illumi isn't liked within the family is because of his overreaching ambition.Kalluto and Milluki on the other hand are too complacent.
>>289686749Sure, as the top guy of the family head. Not AS the head.
I hope we get a panel of Balsimico getting discovered ded just tied up in a room. Everyone one sitting there like what the fuck are we looking at while some “next week I’ll think” mother fucker will go >someone has a body swapping power
>>289686749How many innocents can Illumi kill until someone like the Hunter association decides to hunt the Zoldyck family down though?
>>289686814>overreaching ambition.I wouldn't call it ambition in the sense of indivdualism or independence, but quite literally the contrary. It's the typical overzealousness of a "programmatical extremist", so absolutely incapable of thinking outside the box.
Hisoka will win Hunter x Hubter because bungie gum has the properties of both rubber and gum
>>289686872Big possible
>>289686866I'd say he's definitely thinking outside the box of when it comes to Alluka. While Silva and Zeno fear that power and rightfully try to keep it contained, Illumi lusts for it to the point he's even willing to turn "dear" Killua into just a needleman in order to obtain it.He's a control freak of the highest order which goes beyond what would be expected of a Zoldyck family head, an organization that deals only in assassination as a business.Illumi wouldn't settle for something like that.
>>289686872This is widely accepted
>>289686580>That isn't presented as an argument for how Kurpapika could know where Neon was, but not use that same capability to find WoblesKurapika held Woble once, while he knew Neon for a much longer time.Woble is a baby with no agency at all, in contrast to Neon with her very distinct personality.Woble is in a complete unknown location, presumably on a continental country Kurapika knows nothing about that.Neon was missing for a day, while it's been months since Kurapika saw the real Woble.Do you understand how much more limited in information Kurapika is here? It's not me who said Dowsing Chain works in mysterious ways based on Kurapika's unconscious. If someone is lying without knowing they are lying, Dowsing Chain won't pick up on that. The chain doesn't actually have supernatural capabilities. It's all Kurapika. If Chrollo stole Dowsing Chain, he would be able to arrive at answers about the other Troupe members that Kurapika wouldn't be able to.If Leol borrowed Dowsing Chain, he would be able to answer questions about the King and the Royal Guards that Kurapika wouldn't be able to.It's not that complicated.
anyone have the image of hisoka showing a card which is wrote 'read the manga' alonge with a greentext about the 2011 anime?
>>289685566Claiming that he's being abused is silly and shows lack of reading comprehension.Part of the conclusion of Killua's character arc is for him (and the reader) to accept that he's a Zoldyck and not some random kid. (Alluka chastises him for wanting to isolate Nanika)When Killua hopes to be normal he's running away from his situation and being delusional, he's not improving himself or shining light on his family in any sense. In other words, Killua isn't a cute labubu, when Gon asks him to hold the ball and mangle his hands he's respecting him for what he is, and not seeing him at surface level. You can even see this in CA, because it's the whole reason their friendship fractured, Gon tossed aside Killua's determination without care, and Killua (arguably) had an inner conflict with Gon's ruthlessness compared to his ideal.
>>289687188Thought that was Machi thumbnail
>>289687300Grmelins
>>289686856Probably hundreds of thousands
>>289686856It was unironically a matter of extreme importance warranting lethal force. Illumi was convinced that Killua was misusing alluka which could lead to disaster. >>289686815No objection there.
>>289687298>Gon tossed aside Killua's determination without careWhen was this
I don't like how Bobymima is becoming more and more pretty. This is Togashi's way of saying that he can beat Kurapika 1v1

>>289687432A class B threat warranted the use of (basically) a nuke so a class A threat like Nanika probably would warrant even further measures.Illumi of course is not really in a position to explain that since he wants the Ai for himself.
>>289687723Turns out torturing children for years as "training" maybe wasn't the best idea.
>>289687723Kalluto somehow ends up the most normal, I think his character arc ends with him starting to wear boy clothes again
>>289687723When he stuck his dick in crazy
>>289687821I think Illumi might be the most crazed person in the show. This guy is fully on the “I will control a calamity ahahahaha” boat. No one else is even crazy enough to tempt fate like that.
>>289687636In a way "ride or die" is also just a delusional romantization, that Gon simply couldn't allow. He was in it for the kill. The determination Gon was thinking about is what let to Pitou*s death. Killua was just reality checked by Gon. Arguebly it was also a service of true friendship. Guy just was torn apart by self hatred and guilt and he was not willing to lower the meaning of it by sharing the burden unfairly (that burden sharing trope is psychological slop anyways).
>>289687907In some alternate world where Togashi was healthy, I could wisely see illumi being one of those >wait, he’s/she’s the final main antagonist? Options. Either him or Pariston.
>>289687723I'm not sure that Kalluto's kimono it really counts as crossdressing, barely if at all.
>>289687949I'd agree, but he didn't bother correcting a Chumera Ant who called him a girl. He seems to want to pass himself as one, probably to appeal to Killua but also due to his mom's influence.
>>289687723>asexual (?) sociopathIsn't Illumi a gay psychopath?
>>289687821>A class B threat warranted the use of (basically) a nuke so a class A threat like Nanika probably would warrant even further measuresA B threat already warrants for every measure. That's why the V5 wrote Netero a blank check. What separates an A and a B class threat is that the solution to an A class threat is unknown.
>>289687907He's willing to die as long as it serves his purposes.Out of the newer cast it feels like Halkenburg is the one guy who is willing to go as far as he does to reach his end game.Neither guy seems to give a shit what happens to them personally as long as the mission is accomplished. That's a tremendous advantage considering how nen functions.

All that is required is initial contact>Do you understand how much more limitedI understand that you are making up new rules about how only touching and seeing a target once means that he can't search the boat. I simply disagree and provided evidence for why.
