She's so cute!
That's a guy.
>>289726902even better
This is going to get me crucified by the usual crowd these threads attract, but I really like light, breezy GITS. For some reason the technobabble and cyberpunk elements flow better, and please me better, in the midst of some goofy guys who enjoy sex and booze. It makes it feel like life keeps going on, you know? It's cyberpunk but it doesn't feel like a dystopia, it just feels like a future that's chugging along. Like there's still light and fun and happiness even as the world has changed, and I kind of dig that. I think I like it better than the straight-up dystopian vibes of Edgerunners, as a counterexample.

>>289727872life keeps going on is indeed one of the big themes, but it most definitely is a dystopia. you'll probably enjoy Appleseed even more. The manga that is.>>289726785Motoko talking in babytalk does things to meI want to tickle her and call her a good girl

>>289727872I like the tone as well anon. I think it works due to the upbeat animation and bright colors alot of the time though, but I still agree. It's a refreshing tone these days where things are either uncreative or intentionally dull. I like dark and well animated moody and philosophical stuff as much as the next guy, but not everything needs to be that. Besides, there are some metal things in this version of GiTS that are pretty dark and gritty, they just don't let it kill the overall vibe which is nice. Sorta like the original Dominion tank police OVA, where the show keeps showing your dreary background and talking about how shitty everything is, but all the characters we follow are goodballs living in the moment and having a great time which makes it super enjoyable and memorable>>289734444All these things are bad and if youve got nothing else going on in the show it's fine to linger on them, but the show does have stuff it wants to show otherwise so not lingering on every injustice like a faggot works and keeps things rolling imo. How many things have we seen so far which could be the major problem in some other series but in this show it's only a minor thing touched on for a brief moment before the plot moves forward? Again, it's refreshing for a show to have so much to say. I particularly liked the part in the recent episode where Batou lambasts the robot's right protestors as people who just want to feel right and aren't genuine at all. Small thing in the episode but it still feels more meaningful of a statement than whole shows who focus on stuff like that
