Yea, I bawled my eyes out at the piano episode. Kaiba is not particularly dense in its' presentation, but the world design is absurdly good and I do think it had a calming, melancholic atmosphere to make up for its' shortcomings. Prob my favorite Yuasa after PPTA

Ping Pong is the tighter show but Kaiba has higher highs. Night is Short is fun but it's basically Yuasa doing victory laps for 90 minutes. Kaiba actually feels like he was trying to make something alien.
