I remember watching an episode of Inuyasha in 2002 or 2003, where Inuyasha travels to the modern world to find Kagome, and he jumps onto a trump to ride it to his destination. It makes complete sense that Kagome can go to the past and be basically unsurprised, since she has a frame of reference for what it's like, but shouldn't he have reacted with more shock at the future?

An earlier episode literally has him walking with Kagome on a sidewalk and as a car drives by he's left growling at it holding his sword.
