Translated chapter 2.Time for eel science
>>289805720Bumping for later
Done.
Eel feels. Thanks anon.
So each chapter really will be a one off, I suppose this was to be expected given it is an anthology.>>289805720Thank you very much for the TL and TS anon, I hope you didn't lose sleep because of trying to get it out as quickly as possible.>>289805803I thought that this was set in Non-Japan, but I suppose it must be set in Non-France>>289805825Glasses girl is the cutest.>>289806005When I first saw the chapter thumbnail on the Kurage Bunch website I had assumed she's staring at an explosion in this panel, turns out it was a university fire.>>289806061That's actually beautiful. This was a lovely chapter, very different from what I had expected. Also I am very glad to see that tkmiz is continuing with longer chapters, 34 is very impressive by monthly tkmiz standards and it looks like the quality has not suffered for it.I suppose one natural idea that comes up now is that this could lead to a SOMA-like situation with the telepathy brain scanning halo devices eventually making a kind of complete snaphot and then instead of this being uploaded to robot bodies underwater it can be uploaded into a simulation on a spaceship and that could be Shimeji Simulation, actually wait that is still SOMA-like. I'm sure we won't get anything too specific confirmed, but this seems to be now even more heavily implied than it was before.I wonder about the chronological order of the prequel chapters, we'll see, it is not clear to me if this is meant to be set after ch1 or not.I predict that one of the next prequel chapters will be about the space program, the one we saw referenced in SSR and possibly one that sent out a spaceship with a computer running a simulation, a Shimeji Simulation if you will, with brains scans that were developed using similar technology to what we saw here.
I had somewhat assumed the story was set in Non-Japan, but this proves it is set in Non-France.
>>289806551Not my TL or TS.It's not uncommon to have longer first few chapters, so we'll see.Looks like they're only one layer in building the city in this chapter, whereas it was more complete in the ch 1 so if the chapters could be in reverse chronological order if there is any order.
>>289806551I think if there had been a full nuclear exchange that ch1 ended with people would have other priorities than continuing random university research or protest it
>>289806726From looking at page 15 it doesn't necessarily look like there's only one layer at this point, I think there could be more below, we just don't see the edge since they're so large and we don't see the pillars below since we don't get a view from below.I don't think it will strictly be reverse chronological order, or if it will be then I get the feeling that what we saw in ch1 wasn't super-close in time to the time when SSR was set. My impression is that there were more in-between civilizations between the nuclear sub one and the Chito and Yuuri one.
Do I see a Majime imposter in the background?
>>289806874The eel is one of (((them)))
>>289805945i don't remember tsukumizu referring to wittgenstein before
>>289806869If ch2 happens after ch1 then it doesn't necessarily have to be right after, there could be decades or even centuries between them.
>>289805750>You like round-faced girls with round glasses and braidsYes, yes I do
Me replaying the telepathychan telepathyposts of fishfriends that gave in to zetsubou and are no longer posting with us.
The telepathy device looks oddly similar to the statues halo's in Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, perhaps those are related?>>289805851Dying Earth?
Internal monologue fags btfo
>>289807191I'd say she wins the cutie of the chapter award.
>>28980606110/10 chapter. I really missed tkmiz.I wanted to see more of the submarine crew though, I wonder if we'll see them again.
>>289807255Perhaps as time progressed and knowledge of science and technology was lost it began to be interpreted as magic as is alluded to in this chapter. The statue depictions of halos could be some sort of cargo cult for the telepathy technology.
>>289807684I suspect we won't see them again, it'll probably be a different cast every chapter. With that said it'd be interesting if we could see a different group of people do something with the submarine in a later chapter. After all in ch1 it was in a frozen sea, yet in SSR it ended up being somewhat high up on the layered city, not in the sea, it'd be interesting to see how it got there.
>>289807871Where did you find this sketch, did tkmiz tweet it or something?
Thanks for the dump. This is kind of interesting.
>>289808070like a half a year ago before deleting it
>>289808128I see. It's cool to se the comparison with an early version vs the final thing. It would make sense that tkmiz at least partially prepared this whole anthology ahead of time, he had time since SS ended and it would probably be hard for him to pump out 30 pages a month without preparation ahead of time when with SS he could only do rougly 10 pages a month. If it is properly prepared ahead of time then I think we could expect it to feel properly cohesive and have a nice ending too.
>>289806061Cool chapter, thanks for the dump OP. I miss the Submarine crew but the Eel is pretty cute.>>289806907She does look similar.
Tkmiz still got it, there's nothing like his style.
'eel be back
Has the date for chapter 3 been announced?
>>289808600Yes actually, see pic related
>>289808954>New chapter for my birthdayLovely
Is the black-haired girl with the eel supposed to be the same one that's on the sub in the first chapter?
>>289809447'misaki-chan' in the first chapter is a typo and was corrected later

>>289811357If you don't know, this is a prequel anthology series to Girls' Last Tour, which is about the apocalypse.
>>289811357It's about how and why humanity goes extinct along with every other living thing on Earth. Told through cute stories.
>>289811357Fish

>>289814979It is undoubtedly meant to resemble her, but I'm not sure that tkmiz is interested in showing us the pre-simulation versions of the simulated humans. I could be wrong...
>>289814979so glad the actor returned for this series too
>>289807653This image is so close to being one of those speech bubble memes.
>>289817264I bet we're going to get a story about the camera from GLT and among those pictures were Shijima and sis so I won't rule that possibility out.
Damn, authors aren't even informed about the manner in which their work is published(he mixed up "first month" and "one month")

Someone wouldn't happen to have the raws would they?
tkmiz is just the best
>>289822419No.
>>289822419You know where to find them.
Sex with Yomikawa senpai
>>289823883This is how you get booklings.
>>289823793I've looked everywhere they usually are. It's common for raws to be posted here before the translated chapter but that didn't happen. And the official site is having a month delay until the chapter goes up for free.>>289823883While she's reading.
POST SHIMEJI AND MAJIME hugging
>>289823998looks like your options are to wait or to support the series
>>289824956Must be fun to act like some paragon of virtue in a thread posting a pirated version of the manga. Not to mention the uselessness of a board with so many people encouraging others to learn Japanese while only posting translated manga.
>>289825254it's more fun than not having the raws, looks like
>>289825254Chill out, dude. The raws are right over there. Look.
I liked the first chapter more, and I still wish this series wasn't connected to GLT at all
>>289826862I liked this one better, actually.
>>289822392Ooh, I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow.
>>289826887Thats nice :)
>>289826862You are going to enjoy Tkmiz's giant ouroboros of interconnected stories, you have no choice.
>>289826862They're all disconnected and self-contained enough they don't feel burdened by one another.
>>289827088>>289827130I just don't want to know more about what happened before the apocalypse directly. I feel like it's taking away from GLTs value in a way.I wish I could just make myself not read this, but I can't, since I still really enjoy this just by itself. Well now I can only hope that after this ends and I will reread GLT I will feel as if it was the same or better.
>>289826862>>289827466I don't mind the connection at all specifically because it's not explaining or revealing anything. The lore of GLT already covers itself too. We know that there was more than one collapse, that it wasn't a single "apocalypse" that did civilization in (this is why the military tech is so schizo, people reverted to older tech as the more futuristic stuff was rendered inoperable). So even if they show something like the missiles, it's not like it reveals What Actually Happened.
don't die, I still have to read the first chapter
>>289829662dies anyway
>>289829662Ganbatte!
>>289824342woah... isn't that going a bit too far?
I wonder if there will be an AI chapter in fragments of a layered city.
>>289832851There should be.
I like AI chan
>>289806061Thsnks OP, another excellent chapter. TKMZ is delivering

Are (You) hopeful that this anthology will ultimately lead to GLT season 2?
>>289846100It will never happen
>>2898461000% chance. Normalfags panned S1, and an anthology series isn't going to bring anyone new in.
I don't think normalfags panned season 1, but at this point I think we're never getting season2.With that said I am hopeful that tkmiz will continue to create excellent manga for years to come and that some of them could get anime adaptations and that those adaptations could be good.
>>289836743Cute.
