I have read many an isekai. I have seen many sorts of character archetypes. Whether it be a childhood friend, traitor, shoelacer, demon king, SSS-rank hero, lloyds, allens, shape-shifting superloli, northern duke, stalker rival, you name it. We've seen it all. But there is one particular kind of character that can not ever be reprehensible in isekai, and I of course refer to the maid (meido).In EVERY isekai I've ever read I liked the meido, whether the meido was evil or did exactly as their job title says. SSS-rank heros get shit for being stupidly OP and having a bunch of asspull abilities right off the bat. CFs get shit for being the #1 betrayers in all of isekai, the worst version of Allen or Lloyd couldn't hope to come close to the villainy of the CF. But meidos dont ever get any hate, they are just... meidos... they do as they must, and they always keep it real in the story and they are excellent at delivering comed, they dont have all this super OP busted shit, thdy dont need it for an author to make a meido likeable.
