Which character do you want to see as a jpeg on screen for 5 seconds next episode? I hope Yuri and the detonation girls make an appearance, it could be something like at the start of the episode Shina narrating how they already killed all the progenitors and they even found Zero, and how it was an incredible fight were even Nanoha, Fate, and the knights were outmatched, only for the detonation girls to arrive and save the day. Then we get 20 minutes of Towa eating not McDonalds while texting Shiina and the episode ends.
Aside from the mandated Engrish pronunciation from the devices because the Elevens can't understand proper spoken English, I really don't like the sound design. Everything is so MUTED. Oh well, there will be another anime project after this first one.

It's blink and you miss it where really important details will only be mentioned ONCE. Everything in it is interconnected with the plot and various character arcs so that nothing is superfluous. It is by no means filler. You see how Nanoha grew up, how she relates to people and society, and what she does in her chosen life's work. It can imagine a fan of season 1 or 2 who doesn't care of that, but I think if you're a fan of Nanoha *the character* there's no way you will call that a waste of screen time.

But, because we've only got two villain characters and an endless supply of generic disposable monsters, the Diaboli Slayers and EXCEEDS are being made to fight anyway. The writers realised too late that EXCEEDS are way too strong so they gave the Diaboli Slayers a bunch of asspull powers to force a draw.Next week is going to be a nothing episode as well, because it's Mana's backstory.
