Goku also wouldn't even have the time to heal, Frieza would rape a lone Piccolo in no time. Also who knows what would happen to the Namekian dragon balls without Krillin's hide and seek shenanigans (be it Vegeta gets them early and fails to make his wish or Frieza gets them, etc). And then of course, without Krillin's death, Goku doesn't have the right push of anger to go super saiyan on Namek unless Gohan somehow survived to that point and Frieza kills him instead (likely), but no way Gohan is surviving that long to take Krillin's place on top of all the other shit that needs to go right. Won't go into big detail for Cell saga but if Cell doesn't become perfect due to Krillin's boner, then they're all dying to Majin Buu, even if we're generous and assume they push to super saiyan 2 without witnessing Gohan do it.
