How good or bad are these adaptations? It's gotten a third season, so at the very least it's making enough money to be greenlit for additional seasons.
I know that reading the original manga is always the right thing to do, but aside from better art, am I really missing out on anything important that the adaptations cut out if I only choose to watch the anime?

S4 stuff: Since we're still in her boss battle in the manga, this will likely be the last season. I honestly think the manga is in its final arc. The reason I believe that is because the story is building toward the final war against the remaining Thunder Gods, and after that, I think the manga will conclude. That's probably one of the biggest reasons they decided to go ahead and fully adapt the manga they likely know it's ending soon, so the adaptation will be relatively short and easy to adapt.
