never really understood this take that gets parroted everywhere, there are plenty of isekai slop that came in the same time or before MT, and they all had the same shitty tropes, I mean even fucking Re Zero which is supposed to be making fun of those power fantasy tropes came out in the same year as Mushoku Tensei, the genre was already saturated at that point
