It's easier to break something than make something, and it's exponentially easier if you aren't making it from scratch but instead trying to force something back into shape.So when it comes to a magic system, there's a question of whether you'll lean more towards intuition/game logic or science/realism. And Togashi isn't very consistent. Machi can reattach limbs in seconds, Kurapika has an RPG-esque heal that can fix a broken arm in seconds and Archangel's Breath just entirely repairs someone with a breath. There are some caveats (excuses) for these, but they aren't really enough to make me say Togashi is leaning towards realism here, he seems to be leaning more towards game logic, right? But then Neferpitou and Renko show up and they act like putting a body back together is this big fucking deal. Why? Meanwhile, Pouf can put you in a cocoon and in a few days you'll come out with half your genes altered, and he himself can do that at-will to his own body.
