Why are JJBA fans insistent on liking EVERY aspect of the franchise? I don't think I've seen another fandom like this.

In One Piece spaces you'll find people here or there complain about filler in the anime, or AoT fans bitch about how the ending sucked because their favorite fascist got what was coming to him, but JoJo fans just. Don't?

You can't say you dislike part 6 without someone regurgitating the same phrase of "Every part is peak". Or that Giorno is a boring protagonist without some dumbass saying "Every JoJo is best JoJo" in fluent 2018 r/Animemes lingo. I still genuinely believe Chase is a relatively dogshit opening even if it weren't for the fact most OP's in JoJo are standout (imo), but you can't ever say this without someone DEMANDING that the fanbase simply sit down and pretend that every aspect of this series is Araki's divine gospel.

Why are they unwilling to just admit some parts are bad? I don't even hate the series, I think for something that tries a new cast and setting and tone every few years and has been going on since the 80's it's surprisingly solid, but can I just say that Part 6 is much weaker than the other parts without someone nagging me about it? Must we pretend that every element of every categorical subsect across every part is somehow equal? This isn't about bashing someone for liking Giorno, it's about letting a communal opinion form about something being bad

I was with you until the part 6 slander.

Don't a bunch of fans regularly acknowledge that Part 1 is a complete slog to get through for the modern reader? I started the series just last year and the first part was like pulling teeth. Super outdated tropes, delivery, and plot beats in a veneer that clearly was ripping off Fist of the North Star. I would consider it way worse than Part 6 and it's almost universally put on the bottom of peoples' rankings. It's only saving grace is setting up Dio but he's only a beloved character because due to his appearances after Part 1.

If you didn't like part 6 then not only did you not understand Araki, you're a racist sexist nazi transphobe
redditors really think like this
>>
>2018 r/animemes
What?
>>
fans shit on part 3 all the time for being too formulaic by having bad man of the week episodes
>>
OP has left the thread
>>
>>289862423
Every franchise has its fanatics. You just discussed with the wrong people.
>>
>>289862423
The answer is reddit. Most self entitled JoJo fans that you see online are redditors (who probably didn't even watch the anime), that mindset of being overly positive is common with any fanbase with a reddit fanbase.

Season 4 was shit and I stopped watching a couple episodes into season 5 because it seemed like shit too.

7>2>4>5>1>6>3. I'm not ranking jojolion because I completely forgot what happens in there besides the ending which I disliked and that one arc where Joshu gets cursed with infinite money which I liked a lot
>>
>>289862423
Most Jojo fans agree jojolion is an utter disasterpiece. You have bad taste and just want to complain you're being called out on it. As far as people who say the words "it's peak" maybe don't bother talking to idiots then.

Part 8 is universally disliked by everyone
>>
>289862423
You live under a rock or just missed people shitting on Part 8 the entire bullshit with the Part 7 anime? Not even a (You).
>>

Fans of things are supposed to like the thing that they like OP.
>>
i agree with everything except chase, fuck off
>>
>>289862423
If you think people universally like the series you are willfully ignorant
Parts 5, 6, and 8 are the most controversial in the series, with them getting more controversial as time goes on. Its to the point where unlike something like part 5 where some people just dislike it, with 8 manu people actually think its straight up bad.

If you want to complain about toxic positivity that's probably just where you frequent. Somewhere like reddit or youtube comments will be far more forced positive. But certainly not here. And if you are that concerned about what redditors think you should go back
>>
>>289862423
Chase being bad IS the Animemes opinion. People hate it because it reminds them that Jojo is in fact a shonen and not just a collection of ironic memes to spout. The shitty 3DCG in the part 1-2 openings (3 and 6 improved and didn't need to rely on crutches like manga panels and silhouettes as much) and Coda's monotone singing were far worse issues.

What is wrong with letting people be happy? Can too much hope possibly be a bad thing?
>>
>>289862423
Most committed watchers from the 2013 reboot stopped after part 4
>>
It's really dumb because if you say that Araki has improved over the years, they will agree. But if you say that he got worse they'll get angry and insist that he hasn't changed at all.
>>
>>289862423
I don't recall the last time I saw a positive comment about Jojolion on /a/, so go ahead and reveal what other site you're talking about
>>
>>289862423
>community forced positivity
That's the case for basically every animango series outside of /a/. Weebs are a soft lot so they can't take any criticism whatsoever.
