It took less than two weeks for me to have my first (kind of) Kuroshitsuji-related dream. I was in a manga store, looking to buy a few volumes of this series, maybe also something else. The clerk immediately came up to me, explaining a particular gimmick of the shop: Customers can volunteer to take a quiz about anime and manga, and if you get enough questions right, you'll be rewarded with the first volume of a manga series of your choice, along with a matching piece of merch. He said they had two large selections, one cheaper and the other more expensive. First, he showed me the former. Looking at the items available, I saw various promising ones, such as a Cardcaptor Sakura volume with a figure. But then, my gaze focused on the Kuroshitsuji sets they had: Strangely enough, while most manga had figures as additional prizes, those all had bedsheets. I spent a good moment contemplating which I would choose if I win. Most had rather sexy pictures of the male characters printed on them (sadly, no Ciel; the only non-suggestive one was of the servants), so I couldn't help but feel embarrassed by the prospect of selecting one of them. In the end, I mentally decided upon the Arthur bedsheet, since it was a more tasteful one (as in, the focus was on his collarbone rather than on his midriff), and because I like him as a character. Out of sheer curiosity, however, I asked the clerk, who'd been awaiting any sort of reply at all from me for minutes now, to also show me the expensive section before I partake in the quiz. He brought me upstairs (where there were three employees, while that clerk was the only one working downstairs), and to my dismay, I saw nothing but life-sized capeshit merch. Seething with rage, I yelled at the bastard that I hate American comics and only like Japanese manga, for they are indubitably superior. While engaged in a ceaseless rant about this topic, the employees dragged me out of the store and told me they'll call the police if I ever come back.
