I missed the discussion on the music of the Nudori bands. The sound of the bands is ultimately limited by the instrumental skill of the seiyuu. >MyGOBy far the most musically interesting of the bands. Sure, they got their more staid, pop-y, J-rock/J-pop sounds in some songs, but I appreciate when it fully leans into its punk, melodic hardcore, and midwest emo influences. They are immensely helped aided by the fact that they have the best guitarist in Nudori. Their weakest point is the drums, and (live) vocals can be very hit-or-miss. >Ave MujicaI've had "metalcore" defined for me as "metal-sounding without the virtuosity" which I think is pretty accurate for Mujica. The melodies are catchy, and the vocals are outstanding though not perfect. Rico does a fantastic job of making Doloris seem cool as fuck. Unfortunately, its guitarists are not very technically skilled, which is why a lot of the musical flourishes go to the keyboardist, and the most instrumentally outstanding part in Mujica songs is consistently the drums.
