After he throws Souji off a cliff, he returns to the Five Stars, and after a few months being missing, Souji is declared dead and Kyou immediately quits. About 2.5 years later, he meets Reina and Glowing Dawn begins. He would have met Maki around 2046-2048.

Ok, so I have finally watch episode 38-41, Kyo mini arc. Before I give my 2 cents, I want to ask, does anyone have a similar problem that I have? Like when 38 release, I just drop the show before forcing myself to continued. I did it with Ghost Games and Pokémon Horizon and multiple manga, before I started binging. Not all of the major loose ends have been tied yet, but it feels like last episode managed to tie up most of them when I was pretty unsure if they could address them all by the end of the finale arc just the episode before that. Who the hell is Kishiwada, why are Asuka and Tomoro's e-pulse so special, and why are Wong and Genjo doing the things they're doing are the biggest questions right now, and I could see the series answering all of that, giving both Makoto and Reina a pretty good Mega debut episode each (though they'll probably get theirs together), and a satisfying epilogue with 7 more episodes left.
