She really doesn't give you a choice, you either submit, or she does so anyway or you get exiled. Yeah they tried to overthrow her, but her whole longevity thing was probably a cope on her end, not wanting her loved ones to die and then extending that courtesy to the world. Idealistic, yes. An idealism that comes with a price.Said idealism proving to be a major character flaw that kicked off a lot of events in the series, from Pharaoh 90, Nehelenia's plea to unite with the White Moon Kingdom being ignored when it could have been a factor in repelling the enemy and Wiseman/Death Phantom being Chaos itself means his actions weren't wrong, it just what it is, same with Cosmos, who may or may not be Serenity that underwent a new form to fight Chaos when it got too powerful. Serenity and Chaos are two sides of the same coin.Again, for newcomers, you'll need to re-read this once it finishes and look at some things you may not have noticed the first time. For all the praise and acclaim the anime gets, the manga also has a lot of subtext that goes unnoticed. I'm enjoying this re-read myself.
